Post Theater mode inaccurate

All admins should see this just so they know that positioning is inaccurate.

How did you make two different versions of the same theater game?

One is the actual player's video and the other vid is his friend on the other team.

Well if that is correct then it is a SHOCKING error! With the report function you, me, anyone could get a Steam ban at any time after they review this. O.M.F.G. I am mortified.

Ah ok,

I think this is obviously bad and should be fixed. However, everyone in the game knew the player was shooting through the windows of the car, not the car itself. Therefore, nobody would logically accuse that player of hacking.

You would think but I see accusations of hacking atleast once per every 2 hours of gameplay and none of them were valid.

Yes theater has to be tweaked, it's esentially just a batch of data that is re-rendered in the game engine for review. It may not give back exactly what u were doing since it's just an external bot collecting data and clearly it ignores some data like if the a car is destroyed. I say report this to pcdev on twitter and wait for a response, it doesn't seem overly serious though.

I do not know how VAC operate, but with Punkbuster they tried to recreate the scenario, especially if there was any doubt. This is how stuff like no-recoil in killcam, not completely darkened out area around scope in screenshots, etc. were dismissed as a technical fault/issue and could not be pinned down to a cheat.

IMO, you play a decent game and get accused of hacking. LOL so what. Right? Wrong. Some 12 year old report you as suspicious cheater and this "list of accusations" will just pile up. At some point someone somewhere will have to go and take a look at you. Again, I don't at all know how VAC works, but if any scan they do on you show up clean, and the only other "evidence" of cheat is this horrendous rendition of what you did during a round, then I can at this moment in time see VAC doing the wrong thing...and keep on doing the wrong thing until someone (us perhaps?) point this out to both Treyarch and Steam/VAC before anyone get's labelled and banned with this kind of "evidence".

I am personally against any system that allows all and sundry to report others for suspicious behaviour just because one feels like it and especially when the system at the same time collects evidence of the like we see here. VAC do not discuss bans and therefore you have no way of defending yourself nor to find out if it really WAS this kind of evidence that got you "caught". You're labelled a cheater. You're out of clan, out of game, out of pocket.

That is more than shocking. It is downright criminal.
