 DX11 almost confirmed for RO:HoS
I believe after looking into it we won't be supporting it at launch. But we will be looking at it again post launch to add in with a patch. The only thing that is confirmed is that they will look at it again. I would rather have them look at Terrain Deformation again.

Wasn't true support/taking advantage of DX11 supposed to be something you plan for from day 1, not something you can just patch in at some point? Not that I care about it that much anyway. My card is DX10.1

I would say yes! I think one of two things. One, they don't have enough resources to look at dx11. (reason why I don't favor small developers) Two, they are scrapping features because they know they are falling behind on the release date. Either way, this is a step in the wrong direction. A true pc game takes steps forward, taking advantages of what pc's can do. Not turn the graphics down.  I will be upgrading my vid card to a dx11 card soon. So I can see what BF3 looks like maxed out!

To be honnest i don't care if it's DX10 or 11.Same games you expect cutting edge graphics like Crysis and look what happened.RO is all about gameplay for me.Sure I like to see good graphics but DX 10 will do

TRTL i had this discussion in the BF3 bit, i don't think any game will be supporting 6 cores anytime soon stick to a good X4 cores

Terrain deformation generally is hell for any multi player focussed game. Sure its something everybody would like to see including TWI. But I just do not think its feasible for the UE3 engine without some big changes. The DX11 stuff exists for UE3, and while implementing is probably not easy its still different from making a big change from scratch. If an UE update brought forth terrain deformation TWI would probably add it. Untill then there is a really low chance of seeing that in game. The unreal engine developers called the recent update 3.95, so it would not be that unlikely if the recent dx11 rendering abilities would be a complete overhaul of the previous render paths. If anything what would be a high priority for me to add post release it would be 3d voip.
