Post Red Orchestra 2 Finally Available For Pre-Order
Quote:
Red Orchestra 2 has finally popped up for pre-order at a number of locations out there, both in box and digital format. Amazon, Gamestop, and Best Buy each list the title at $39.99 without pre-order incentives at the moment. Steam has the best deal going on though for digital customers, with bundled extras on both standard and digital deluxe editions. Additionally you can get a minimum of a 10% discount simply by pre-ordering now, or even up to 20% if you already own the first game.

Here are some specifics on the standard and digital deluxe edition Steam exclusive extras:

Owners of the original Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 will receive the following:

Pre-purchase now and receive 10% off or get 20% off if you already own the original Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45.
Day 1 unlock of the Kar98 and Mosin rifle bayonets:

Special in-game item - Russian Guards Badge and German Close Combat Badge:

Steam Digital Deluxe Edition adds the following extras on top of the Standard Edition:

Access to the final phase of closed beta before the August 30th launch
Day 1 Unlock of the Elite Assault Weapons (MKb 42(H) and AVT-40) and Semi Auto Sniper Weapons (SVT-40 and G 41(W):

Team Fortress 2 German and Russian hats ("vintage" if bought during pre-purchase):
Two new characters for Killing Floor - Russian and German Soldier Re-enactors:

seemingly you need to have the digital deluxe version to get access to the final beta from what it writes. I wonder if 20k folk are going to buy that version :\.

Ha, I love getting all that great deluxe stuff at the price of the regular version (if it didn't have the discount for non-RO1 owners). Love you, Tripwire :D

Never enough...

Sucks that EU gets the blank deal again, though.

I`ve got DD edition just because of early access to beta, and if i dont like the game its easy to cancel pre order and get refund (worst case scenario)... But i really hope better yet i have a feeling that this game will bring joy to me like CoD 2 did. I am not saying that i expect codlike game nooo just the pure joy and excitement while i play the game.

If you haven't played RO1 and have purchased this, I seriously hope you know what you're doing. COD2 fun and RO fun are very different types of fun. If you wish for us to not make comparisons to COD2, state more than just one game that you have gotten great amounts of enjoyment out of so we know that you're truly using it in a general sense.
