 Re: Delayed till September 13
A lot of unhappy people in that thread. They pre-ordered the game to play the beta and no word on that yet either.
They have either found a lot of bugs in the small beta, or not capable of fixing them in a timely fashion.
Doesn't look good for TWI and not the start that most wanted to see...

I disagree, Mr. Turtle. Slavish adherence to deadlines only gets us Call of Duty.

Sucks but "A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time." ps.Sep 13 is the same day Rage releases

Must agree Plus it's a pre order! no where does it say: ''Instant beta access when you pre order Ro2'' I tend to think people feel they have a bigger voice due to the size of tripwire as a developer and are more likely to be heard, which has proven to be true, This only shows how in tune Tripwire are with their community but some people tend to cross the line, Which is kind of inevitable and unfortunate. People need to take a step back, appreciate Tripwire for caring enough to act as they do and just maybe chill out a bit.

Its their money and they can act how ever they want(cry/whine/btch etc)...those who preordered the game.

 Re: Delayed till September 13
while timing is a bit unfortunate, as pre-orders have already happened. Pre-orders can always be cancelled with steam.
A game should always release when its ready, and in case you misjudged the time when you thought everything would be done, its probably better to delay. The worst that can happen to a game is releasing too early.
Still annoying when its so close that you suddenly have to wait 2 more weeks.

 Re: Delayed till September 13
I found this post at another forums. I think Buttscracher is right on. Quote: On one hand you have to tip your cap to them for pushing back the release to get things sorted. On the other hand, they seem to continue to shoot themself in the foot for not getting this out much sooner (few months ago)... much less the lack of marketing that some point to. They had a chance to carve out a little bit larger player base had they got this out much earlier.
Now going to go almost head to head against Bf3/MW3? I bet gamers that were going to give RO2 a try as a "fill in" game will cancel a fair amount of pre-orders, which is too bad.
Hate to say it, but they missed their window of oppertunity bigtime. Reguardless of how good their final product is, they are about to get burried by two mega games.
