 Re: config tweaks
Mouse Acceleration -go to ..\My Documents\My Games\HOMEFRONT\GCGame\Config -open GCInput.ini -"bEnableMouseSmoothing=false" - Go to your \steam\steamapps\common\homefront\engine\config directory. Make a copy of all those files before you change anything just for backup purposes. - Then open baseinput.ini – at the top of the file is a section called [Engine.PlayerInput] - Under that section, you will see “bEnableMouseSmoothing=true”, change this to “bEnableMouseSmoothing=false” - Then right under that, in the same section, add the line “bViewAccelerationEnabled=false" After this your in-game mouse settings may reset, or you may have to adjust your sensitivity because non-accelerated sensitivity is different. But after that, you should notice the mouse control is much improved.
Force dx9 (may give you a little fps boost) -go to ..\My Documents\My Games\HOMEFRONT\GCGame\Config -open GCEngine.ini -"AllowD3D10=FALSE" -also add "-d3d9" command line in steam launch
Remove fpsmoothing (may give you a little fps boost) -go to ..\My Documents\My Games\HOMEFRONT\GCGame\Config -open GCEngine.ini -"bSmoothFrameRate=false" -"UseVsync=false" -"UseFPSSmoothing=false"
btw i've been trying all kind of tweak/resolution/graphic option to get some more fps but,and basically i gave up after a couple hours. there is not much difference in FPS between very low and very high graphics and i got a pretty good machine (i7 930@3.6ghz,hd5850 toxic,6gb ddr3 1600) if there is some good U3 tweaker i'd like to try some new tweak (i dont know much about U3 tweaking)

 Re: config tweaks
The game needs some patching.
I get around 40-60 fps average, and 20-30 when there is vehicles. Don't know why this make a difference it doesn't in BC2 and this game graphics wise doesn't compare. I am running at 1280x960, Very low, with a few config tweaks like the ones mentions above, but I didn't notice a difference from stock settings to what I have now.

 Re: config tweaks
I just ran fraps first time with this game after reading this thread. Dam, not great. All settings maxed out, Core i7 overclocked to 3.8 ghz, 2X 5870's in Crossfire, 1920X1080, getting average fps of 80, peaking at 90 fps. Yup, needs some patching........ For comparison, BC2 averages 130 to 150 fps, and bumps the 200 fps mark quite often. Different engine in BC2, but much more going on in it than UE3 I would tend to think. BTW, took this from the Homefront news page. Patches on the way I guess. http://www.homefront-game.com/blog-post ... tus-updateQuote: PC
Is looking pretty robust right now. We released a small hotfix today to address a couple of minor issues, but you can expect a patch with full change-list in the near future as we identify and fix issues on the ever-fluid PC platform!
To report an issue on any format, we invite players to post in the Homefront forums which will allow us to identify and track your issues as fast as possible.
We want to stress that Homefront is one of a tiny handful of titles offering dedicated server support on console, and the infrastructure and networking code required to support this is much more complex and demanding than simple peer-to-peer matchmaking you see in most other FPS games. The pay-off is larger maps, more players, and an equal playing field for all – something we believe is critical for fair, balanced online FPS gameplay.
Every game that goes the extra mile to provide dedicated servers faces additional teething problems in the first few days as the kinks are ironed out, but please bear with us as we address these – the result will be worth it.
Once again, we apologise for any disruption to your gaming, and thank you for your patience and support

 Re: config tweaks
Haven't taken a look at the FPS yet, but I can run it comfortable on max settings at my max res, something I cannot do with BC2 or Blops.
Mouse acceleration was pissing me off no end. I've made the fix now, hopefully it improves the experience.
