Use your flippin' brain if you have any. The link when i check it leads straight to texture hacks which this site (to my knowledge) does not support. We support optimization of our games through tweaking of the game files. Some of this does border a narrow road of what is actually good tweaking and bad. An ethics debate that does not need to be on the forums. Each to his own beliefs.

Even though this was discovered awhile ago, it still does not require the use of 3rd party software. And yes i would issue caution on this as its not like other previous games. VAC is tricky.

Though with all that being said just play the damn game as you do not need "special tweaks" be to be good at a game. And what of those people that do just as good without them?...But more importantly Mw3 is capped fps and packet wise so their is little room for optimization and things like this just become exploits that never become fixed.

Black ops is much much beter than mw3,
and i was able to max the game out 2560x1600 res on a 8800 gtx gfx card over 6 years old with a duel core cpu.

Its funny though because you actually believe this isn't possible without image altering software. Why would he make such a post and ruin his reputation which he earned from black ops as did I.

For all you uneducated people that fail to think outside the box this ones for you:

Inorder to achieve such results and more that have been posted here you must use a program like "hexeditor" to edit the iw5mp.exe or whatever the main MW3 .exe file is called (i do not have this game installed so i dont know the exact name).

Once there you must have prior knowledge of what to look for, change it, and then save. What he did was he found a string, but instead of changing the value, he changed a single letter which prevented the whole string from even loading, hence the effects you see in the images similar to "turning a command off" via console commands back in the old days of cod.

I know this because of the private messages we shared as we attempted to tweak this game. This method was not published until now because it for one is illegal and we, at least i, do not sponsor this type of activity, nor am I responsible for others that may get banned as .exe changes are NOT VAC friendly.

Alas, you are right. The secret is out, i doubt that cactus really cares as this game is not going anywhere. A main reason to keep it under wraps was to prevent the extensive abuse of this in a professional scene that did not have ESL wire or UAC running at that time as such changes will most definitely show up when anti-cheat software is used, but until then no one would know. I guess nothing is stopping some pub stars from using it too, however, just be prepared for the consequences of a potential vac ban.
