Post MW3 FOV??
Anyone know if this is gonna be like MW2 & we wont be able to set or FOV to 80?

they said in an interview that you can change it. apparently you cant (no options and config doesnt work).

so far i tested THIS ONE

bind W "+forward;set cg_fov 80"

worked perfect for mw2 now it does not :|

i do not know what the fov on mw3 IS how may i find out???

i'ved tried toggle as well thinking since mw3 has a different engine from treyarch which removed it in may for bo but alas same. nothing is working. im not even getting back a console message to see if im getting an error.

ive tried "set" and seta" one could do setfromdvar as well but i doubt that would work.


ive seen on an xbox forum that someone did tweak and get 80fov and boy was i optimistic however there has to be something broken or blocking us as the command its self is not protected or latched.

what remains is using widescreenfixer.
I use 1680x1050 16:10 and in widescreenfixer I inserted 14:10 which gives you a fov like 80-85. it doesnt stretch, but its not exactly like true fov either, its like cg_fovscale or something. you should try it out.

is 16:9 your native ratio? and is the picture stretched that way? besides the fixer doesnt affect hud (at least not for me) so wouldnt that mean your hud would be stretched all the time? i prefer my crosshair to be circular...

yea 16:9 is my native. it does stretch it some but looks better than using ingame 16:9 aspect.

well yeah, for your ratio it might be good, but i suggested a solution for 16:10 users, putting 4:3 apsectratio and then using the fixer for 16:10 only results in 74 fov for me.
