Yes buy, isnt the point of the post suggesting that the amount of lag compensation is calculated by the speed of your GPU and the formulation is taken from your graphic quality settings, the logic being if you reduce your Gfx settings then the game will reduce your added lag compensation? well thats how I read it as, yes its a really Sh!*ty way of calculating anything and to be honest no matter what you tweek or tune, the game is pretty much dead in the water on ranked p2p. the only chance it has for me at least is on dedicated servers and they run like crap so far.

Google lag compensation as i have and then see why graphics settings and or what gpu you have have nothing to do with this. (if IW is making a stand by punishing people with better hardware well..F them)

this is a device in the game that does as it does. theres a crap ton of info on that page that makes my head spin however this should (in theory) not have any affect on gpu settings, gpu load.

I think thats the jist of the post, IW/SH are using your computers and internet speed as a basis for the amount of lag compensation applied. the faster your gpu and internet connection the more fake lag it adds, this is their version of lag compensation, not the generic google one. It is possibly the worst thing they have done to the PC cod gamer since IWnet and is utterly disgusting. Their mantra of everyone must be equal just like xbox taken to the extreme.

I spent near a thousand GBP upgrading my PC this year and pay a premuim for 100mb fibre in the UK, just to have that seen as an unfair advantage and be subject to bu11$h!t fake lag..... well nothing more to be said really.

I dont believe the guy works for IW..

Blackops is my example as he would post these optimization threads, theories, list commands etc. Through my extensive testing i proved his points wrong though i didnt go on a crusade to prove it as i just knew better. I knew things in that game that he should have known yet he sounded clues as hell when i pm'd under a different alias about simple command settings. The response was pretty juvenile and led me to believe hes a fraud.

Mw3, well not much has changed i believe. If he does work for IW i believe i could do his job better with the extensive knowledge and experience with the game that i have.

Ok, but what do you think about what he is saying? Seemed reasonable to me as I was whining about the lag comp in B0 since its release (to my friends) and there does seem to be a trend to even the playing field through various means - especially by ATVI. Actually, in regards to B0, I had originally assumed it was due to Trey's lack of skill, and then with MW3, the fact that IW is no longer comprised of any of the talent that created the great C0D games. The even the playing field argument also seems to make sense. Maybe there is more than one reason the issue exists. All I know is, from C0d 1-4 I thought lag comp was fine (although I think in one of those games there were some issues until they patched it).

Also funny though, BF3 seems to have some lag comp issues as well, although some ppl say it is more of a level design issue with BF3. Not sure.

interesting is my word. i tried as the thread said as well as something of my own. from what i can tell my game experience has somewhat improved... and its just interesting how this system works.
