new mw-2 site recruiting WaW and mw-2 players.
Our clan right now plays cod-WaW as well as zombies. We plan on moving the clan into mw-2 in November when the game is released. If your into WaW and cant wait for mw-2, we may be the clan for you. We are looking for older gamers. Late 20's, 30's and 40's or higher. Most of our current members are in their late 30's and 40's. We have 2 servers. 1 in Dallas and 1 in Atlanta. We also have been known to play several rounds of zombies. We have both teamspeak and ventrillo. We dont charge any dues to our members, ever! We dont have a long list of clan rules for people to follow or any silly rank system. We treat everyone the same and with respect. We just finished our new mw-2 website and have a web desighner working on doing a new WaW site. Check us out if this sounds like what your looking for. Apply in our forums. All are welcome to register and check out our site, even if your not interested in joining. http://www.mw-2.com http://www.cod-5.com http://www.cod-six.com http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com

Busted me for what? Anyone can register any available domain that they want for like 9 bucks. No copyright laws against it or anything like that.

i dunno if they can get you for the top 3 but http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/ they could possibly get you there. Also before i gamed, i worked on php nuke type sites for a living, i know the inside out of it and its security, i highly reccomend you disable the following modules, as they can be easily hacked. Web Links Coppermine Top 10

Web Links Coppermine Top 10 I don't think they can "get" him, if the domain was free as it obviously was, and he bought which he obviously did, he's fine, the only thing they can do is offer him a nice amount of money for it.

Yeah there isnt anything they can do against any domain which was legally purchased. At best, if it were a slanderous site they might be able to get it shutdown but like i said, there are no copyright laws covering domain registrations.

Re: new mw-2 site recruiting WaW and mw-2 players.
As for the domain name question: Copyright law does not protect domain names. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a nonprofit organization that has assumed the responsibility for domain name system management, administers the assignation of domain names through accredited registers. (source: http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html) But ICANN is working on a Draft Report on Trademark Protection https://st.icann.org/data/workspaces/new-gtld-overarching-issues/attachments/trademark_protection:20090428172419-0-15172/original/IRT%20Draft%20Report%20on%20Trademark%20Protection%20Issues.pdfThis is interesting: Quote: 3. THE GLOBALLY PROTECTED MARKS LIST (“GPML”)
The IRT recommends the creation of a Globally Protected Marks List (“GPML”) to provide protection to globally well-known and protected marks (“GPMs”) at the top and second levels. We recommend the GPML in recognition of the numerous comments by and on behalf of trademark owners that called for the establishment of a “Reserved Names List” or “White List” for trademarks. Because the intention behind the GPML is to include only marks that are globally protected and well-known, the standards for inclusion on the GPML should be high and strictly enforced. As a result, the level of protection afforded to GPML marks will be greater than for marks not qualified for inclusion on the GPML.
So, in the future, "modernwarfare" type domains may become protected. In the meantime, enjoy!
