Post Epic Jumping on the PC bandwagon

Quote:
Developer Epic Games is going back to its PC gaming roots. At a presentation at GDC Europe today, Epic president Mike Capps said five new games are now in various stages of development at the studio, and the games are being designed for the PC first.

"It's nice to target the PC as a primary platform again, not just for ports," Capps said
Capps added that the games would be smaller in scope than titles like Gears of War, saying that studios needed to leverage blockbuster titles with massive budgets with less expensive to make games.

Epic turned heads a few months ago when it released its Samaritan demo for its upgraded Unreal Engine 3, spurring hopes of a new franchise. Capps did confirm with Joystiq that a Samaritan game is not among the five titles in development.

I guess PCs are cool again or at least profitable.

don't care, epic will not get my money. I don't see epic being around much longer if they can't make a decent seller like Bulletstorm (as horrible as it was) profitable.

it probably means that its that time again that the consoles have been so worn out that people start going to pc again.

Well, I wonder if this means Sweeney is planning on a major unreal engine overhaul? It makes sense if you look at all the engines out their that just stomp unreal when it comes to PC graphics.
