Ooops...i'll put that back where it belongs, now seriously, here's my other mouse: The MX510 Optical.



It's a bit dated...but it's been an awesome workhorse. I've just banged away on this thing for two years and it's keeping up great.

The Rocketfish has worn out the teflon strips underneath - but I'm just going to remove these feet and swap them with replacement ones.

The MX510 came with 8 buttons. Two that can be depressed by your thumb and three near the thumbwheel (which are hard to get to - and seldom used). It has taken a lot of abuse, but keeps coming back for more. That's one reason I love Logitech - very well engineered.

I used to have a 510...unfortunately it took an unexpected soaking in Mt.Dew. Never really worked the same after that, and unable to find another one I switched to an MX518. It has the same body as the the 510 and even better internals,even has adjustable dpi (though it never gets used I guess it nice to know its there?).I recently bought a spare just in case this one dies too and I'm not able to replace it like before.
The one thing I would recommend is uberoptions, especially for the older Logitech mice.With it you can assign any key to any mouse button (great for controlling scripts and such) and has a game profile creator so it switches "modes" whenever you launch a game and then switches back when you exit.

Exact same mouse I have on my older computer. I grew to love it, but when I got a mouse for my new computer I had to go with the Logitech G5.

If you are ever going to change, I highly suggest this one. Comes with built-in speed changer Only use it when going intense into paint tho lol.

My mate has that mouse, I like it.

Ya, it's a great mouse. If you are ever getting a new one, I suggest it. It's comfortable, has forward and backward buttons, speed buttons, etc.

A friend of mine has recently bought a Snipa "stinger" from CyberSnipa Gaming hardware. http://www.cybersnipa.com/us/products/s ... -mouse.php

And being an ex G5 user he swears by it...

He was having a bit of trouble setting it up however, and over TS we managed to config it for him. The biggest "wow" was the user macro feature. By smiply tapping keys you can asign any action you wish ( with duration and combination strings ). I couldn't help but be impressed with its abilities. Not only dose it have the weights, dpi adjustment it is very much styled like the one above ( copy i think tbh ).

The thought of not needing scripts to do simple tasks and just programming key sequences is tempting. Has anyone got one of these to give their low down on its usability and functinality. Is my friend just upgrading to a more pro like mouse the G5 and noticing the new "horsepower" available or does someone else think its a good atl to the G5.?

ps. Like the gaming pad V2 also, who hasn't wished for this at some point? Novelty or serious kit, who knows?

I love the Razer Lachesis the best thing is the button profile is stored in the mouse not the computer. Thought I would share my whacky mouse Idea with you all .
