Cheers mate - fab job

Just got to sort out the issue with the mouse now going inverted when swapping configs in game - Is there a bind that will enable me to just go back to having my mouse inverted?

Great Config which I love but I get a game crash every time the map changes with the config running. No crash without the config running.

It appears as a "iw3mp.exe has encountered a problem" type crash in windows.

I have write protected the mp_config file. Has anyone else suffered from this, if so is there a solution.

Cheers :?

Update: Its actually crashes after the map has loaded and the round is starting.

Do you maybe use an ati graphics card (yitch uses an nvidia).
I remember I had this too, but dont really know how I solved this.

Fast solution: try minimizing while the map is loading, wait for the *bing* sound and maximize, should not crash

Or maybe comment these out:

//seta r_nv_fence "0 "
//seta r_nv_fog_available "0"
//seta r_nv_fog_dist "0"
//seta r_nv_fogdist_mode "GL_EYE_RADIAL_NV"
//seta r_nv_register_combiners "0 "
//seta r_nv_texture_shader "0"
//seta r_nv_vertex_array_range "0 "

I'm not 100% sure but im guessing it has something to do with r_lodscalerigid 4, if you set it to 1 you will see them at pretty much any range, but you will also see everything else in terms of distant objects (like grass).

I should have added this to the write-up, but it is in:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... rZLbe9RxeQ

(Cell A343...lol, i know...impossible to find).

Level of detail for static objects (1=best to 4=worst). Usually "1" is required in competition.
Notice that if you set this variable to 4, you will lose sight of nades in mid air.

Set this to 1 to see the nades again, but be prepared for a HUGE FPS loss

hi,

A friend pointed me in the direction of yitch3. id just like to thank you because it has made a big difference to my enjoyment of COD4. The gameplay is much more intuitive and responsive now, everything an online game should be.

You should pat yourself on the back for helping so many people out,

Tomas
