Although I don't mess about with my CoD4 install, would u get a PBBan if you used such adjustments

No u wont.... the only thing that can get u banned is if u play a server with an admin that's watching his screenshots...and decide to ban you for it..but u wont get banned by punkbuster...ive been playing my own skins for about half a year now on PB servers..
