Post Tony's Wacky Case Cooling.
I noticed my case was getting a lot of heat build up , so i improvised ! I found a way of adding a extra fan from fresh!

1. Take 4 Flat Headscrews , and a Cpu fan .

2. Remove the little fan from the Heatsink by unscrewing the 4 screws.

3.On the back of the case , where there's a little vent , place the fan on the inside of the case and hold it on the vent.

4. Screw it in nice and tight!

5. Plug it into 1 of 2 of the cpu fan ports .

And there you have it , one extra fan.... :ugeek:

You might wanna make sure you have no wires around the fan area , or add a fan blocked , i personally didn't , as theirs no wires around the fan placement...

Ive lost a fair bit of heat as well , i also removed my 30mm fan that was collecting more dust rather than cooling my system down . So now i have a massive vent on the side rather than a dust collector :D.

Just wanted to share it with you all .

I think mine is wackier, but yours is alot better. I just grab my desk fan and shove it inside the case.

I only use 12cm (120mm) fans because they are very silent.
The smaller the fan the higher the frequency it makes the more it gets on your nerves.

What does wonders is to slow some fans in your system down.
In my case the tiny northbridge fan ran at full speed and generated 80% of all the noise in my system.
I made myself a molex cable that transforms 12v in 5v and put it on the fan.

Here is a nice guide:

The same I did with my graphics card but with 7v

Making your pc more silent can improve your gaming of course.
Even though I already had closed headphones I could still hear the background noise, now that i made my system about 80% less loud I can locate enemy steps a lot better than before.

If you are interested I can make a new thread about this and take some pictures of the cables and fans etc and how to connect that.

My Computer Gets hot very fast. I'm not running the top of the line computer or anything. I have a Pent 4 2.8 ghz, 1.75 gigs of ram and a ATI radeon x1650 video card (AGP). My Video card has a fan on it, My Processor has a Fan of the heat sink, I have one for the power supply and just another one on the back blowing in. :D Four fans Total.
