for those in the uk,http://www.bethere.co.ukhave one of the best internet services available,with actual settings on your router to lower ping ,think it's called game mode or something.
They are also very competitively priced aswell and have a 1.6 meg upload speed or something on the higher packages.

On the other hand and i know exactly where your coming from on this i switched from bt just under 6 months ago,and will never look back.
I am now with sky for all my services and have there 20 meg package for £15 a month,which gives me the speeds i signed up for and a 1.4 mb upload speed,also i do not get my bandwith bottlenecked in the evenings like most bt and virgin customers get.

Well, I am happy that they will have increase their bandwidth connection. But I actually switched now to Comcast. I think this is much faster than other service providers.

Bt in the uk has now gone fiber optic so u should have no problem !

very very few people will actually be able to get fibre optic from BT !!!!
