I have not heard this mentioned anywhere yet, and I can't find the answer on the IW forums...

Will there be a console to edit our config? FOV, Packets, Lodscale etc were all things that people tweaked. I don't mind if I am forced to use the default for a lot of things, but the packets/FOV I really do NEED to improve the gameplay.

For example, if they set it to 65FOV and you can't change it, that will be a nightmare to play for me. I need at least 80.

Yer the only consoles they is interested about is 360 or ps3

I hope we can at least change the FOV. I need it on 80 if I play widescreen. 65 makes me sick, literally.

I was looking for the same thing and i to haven't managed to find anything yet.
I would expect not,as this just opens possibilities for hacking i suppose,and it seems there giving us as little choice as possible to the way we play the game.
Seeing as it works on a matchmaking basis,i will assume that all the connection settings etc will be automatically configured for optimal performance by iwnet/steam.

The only thing they have said is that you can customise your game, and what can be configured, and how is anybodys guess.

I hope they enable console,as i'm used to playing cg_fov 80, and being able to alter max packets and fps to suit my needs.
Hopefully they won't have a limit on steam regarding fps like punkbuster did also.
If they take that away aswell it'll be the last straw for me.

Yes. I believe there will be a config. HOWEVER, config editing will be very limited.
It is not clear yet what cvars/edits will be allowed.

I'm guessing that you will not be able to change things like FOV, because the "casual gamer" doesn't understand/Realise you can edit it, and will be at a disadvantage when it comes to playing?

Perhaps you will be allowed to change the max fps, or show a lagometer/FPS counter, but that is it

Then I HAVE to have a demo before I can even try it. I'm not kidding when I say I get sick playing at 65.
If I have it at 80 with Vsync on, no problem. 80 w/o Vsync or 65 with or w/o vsync and:

"Uuhhh - His name is RAALLLPH, man!"

If they start supporting keyboard/mouse control on ps3 (cause God knows I'm not giving my money to M$ for Live when online play is free everywhere else), I'm outta here. I'll go buy a ps3 so fast it won't even be funny. Seriously, if you take away dedi servers, and you take away the ability to use customized configs, then were all just spending thousands on high-end PCs to play a game that will still look better for less money on PS3 lol. I mean honestly. The price of a ps3 is a fraction the cost of a PC that will run MW2 nicely with all the eye candy turned on.

I'd rather turn all the fancy graphics off to begin with, but if I get stuck with them they better look awesome.

Well I have tweeted Foxhound, Hyphen AND 402, and not got a reply from any of them.

No news is......good news right?

EDIT: FOXHOUND said he didn't know. Hyphen and 402 have still not responded. Hopefully I can get that question in at tonights bestbuy chat!
