 my thoughts of MW2
ive had mw2 for about a week and its boring me already... maybe its just AusCoD..
reasons why its boring me...
95% of peope are using bling.. and most of them use the heartbeat sensor.. more like hackbeat sensor. 99% of people in SnD games use ninja.. what happened to good old learning to not make sound? 20% of people in aus have used rank hacks.. are people really that bad? EVERYBODY CAMPS! why do people camp? why buy a game if you don't move a step? i still know people that sit where they spawn on CoD4, wouldnt suprise me if they don't know the maps after all this time.
i thought commando was cool at first, but it gets old quick when you getting knifed by some kid with ninja from 5 metres away.
i may sound like an "elitist" here, but trust me im not, i don't call people noobs for what they use, i actually keep my mouth shut in games, only time i say something is if its a clan mate, just to poke fun at them.
maybe im just used to competitive CoD2/CoD4.. there is twice the amount of guns than CoD4 and every body uses the same guns and perks..(and no i don't mean by same stuff they used in CoD4, i mean everybody has the same gun, same perks, same attachments) where is the variety?

 Re: my thoughts of MW2
yea the game is very boring to me as well.
ive already gone back to cod4 at times just to have fun. SnD game play only that is
mw2 is nothing but a noob game for campers and mindless runNgun players with dual machine guns. hardcore game play is kind of a joke bc of ping issues and normal sucks cause i shouldnt have to shoot someone four times with an m16 to bring them down so bad hit reg right there.
ninja is just dead silence but than again i could always hear dead silence in cod4 not so much in this game...so much for that bad ass sound card. oh and im tired of the guns taking up 50% of the screen with the ever so loved 65 fov and how slow i feel when i run for how ever long that lasts like two feet.
and ive already played with more hackers in this game than the 2 years of cod4.. aimbot after aimbot then the nuke comes aka game over
but whatever im sure the flaming will come soon enough for the post but just my honest opinion. i used to play cod4 just about all day long now with mw2 im tired after about 30 mins of play and would rather spend time doing something else

people can't flame for our opinion man, they are just my reasons why its boring me, but all that i said in my post is true. there is no variety, everybody in Aus uses the same thing. luckily i haven't played with any hackers yet, and if i have, they must be bad at hacking, because i haven't really lost many matches since i got the game, just been using my CoD4 skillz and thanks to mw2, we lost our first scrim in a long time lol.. been playing it to much

 Re: my thoughts of MW2
What little of MW2 I've played I really didn't enjoy. At first when I saw everyone in my friends list playing it I felt like I was missing out on something, but after using my bros Steam account to play it for a few nights I know I am not. Agreed on all points. The heartbeat sensor is just cheesy. It takes all the skill out of the game. What happened to actually "listening" to where people were coming from? Or predicting movements? Guess that is out the door. FOV sucks. I don't care what anybody says, the hitboxes are HUGE! It's WAY too easy to get head shots on this game. (Much more so than CoD4) Too much blank all over the screen. Every time I kill someone I get blank flashing all over the screen: +100, Promoted, Revenge!, ETC.... The lack of LEAN is very disturbing. While casual players might not have used t, it adds an advantage and layer of complexity for more experienced\competitive players. Don't flame me for being slightly philosophical, but I think the design of this game illustrates where our society is headed. For example, I'm not "Old", at least I don't think I am (29), but I was playing PC games when Quake and the original Unreal were really popular. When I started playing those games I would be absolutely humiliated I would lose so bad. But, with persistence, thought, practice etc. I became a better player, and when I DID play well I felt like it was earned. This game just shows how lazy youth has become. The current MTV generation that must have instant gratification for everything they do love this game for that exact reason. The learning curve is small, getting head shots is simple, every action in the game is rewarded with bright flashy lights and text across the screen with no lack of exclamation points, and "Steady AIm" makes killing someone at close distance as simple as just holding a button. Again, I am not saying this is representative of ALL youthful gamers, because trust me in competitive gaming I have been absolutely owned by people half my age. But, what I am saying is this is a scary trend. The proof is all there. Who can't use a server browser? Who doesn't know what "ping" is? They need a graphical representation of how good their connection is? How terrible. I come from a place where if I don't know something I find the answer, which is as easy as typing into Google for blank sake! Sorry for the rant.

 Re: my thoughts of MW2
i know nobody will flame lol, because i know deep down, everybody feels the same, sure its fun the first few days, but than it gets repetitive, imo, BashAndSlash should hold a spec-ops ladder, in my honest opinion, ive found spec ops way more fun than online play, me and one of my clan mates have absolutly dominated (3 stars) half of the things on veteren, inluding the ghillie in the mist mission, and trust me it is very hard, with hacklike aiming on the hidden snipers, should we organise some kind if tournament for spec ops? with certain missions and timelimits, actually, imma talk to jock and see if he is interested, see if we can make up some kind of competition up.

 Re: my thoughts of MW2
yes that is another thing i hate all the crap on the screen every time you kill someone...score 50 payback blah blah blah. i dont care. and i believe in hardcore SnD when the bomb is planted no timer for the count down only sound which is very annoying i know the beeping speeds up but damn i wanna know the seconds i have left.
the live chickens are annoying...lol
and as for bfbc2 i want a little more info as for mp are we gonna have a console for tweaking how we like it. if its stuck at 65fov im not even going to bother. dont care for the huge huge maps and tanks in mp either.
i look for IW to have a patch for DED servers when bfbc2 comes out to keep ppl playing mw2 but the game needs so much work

 Re: my thoughts of MW2
It's all good gentlemen. I think if we had someone come in and try to argue with others over a simple opinion, I think they would get handled pretty quickly. Jock and Sanity do a good job of keeping up with things.
On topic, I agree with most of whats posted in the thread but I'm one of those casual players who enjoy this game more than I hate it. Without repeating all the things that are wrong or disliked in the game, It still has potential if they add certain things in future patches. It's difficult to preach about how entertaining the game can be on this type of site. Most of you guys are into competitive play or into modding/tweaking. The game is too restricted for you guys and I understand. CoD has always been "Crack on Demand" for many of us. We always want to squeeze in just one more frame or something along those lines. You look back and apply all the CoD games to most of the regulars here. No CoD game has been acceptable as it came, including patches. Everyone of you has had to rely on a mod or a super tweaked config before you were happy. Right now everyone is finally being forced to play as it comes, (unless you've downloaded one of the recent files) , and it's killing you. Almost like you're all going through withdraws. For everyone's sake, I hope they fix or add in some of the most needed things soon before we all have strokes. As for the virus's, lag, noobs, etc issues, I haven't had any problems. I started out on a vista pc and this past weekend, I installed windows 7. So since it's been out I've played the game on two OS's which required me to install it twice and have not had any issue on that end either. Maybe that's why I'm still having fun with the game. I usually only game for an hour or two per session and I'm just as happy playing MW2 as I have been playing any of the earlier releases.
I've been looking at the game just from an entertainment value and it's potential. For me, it's very entertaining and full of potential. If IW doesn't take advantage of its potential, I do feel that the game will have a short shelf life for atleast us PC gamers. For the few guys like myself who do enjoy it, what happens after we fully rank up and collect all the little emblems is a gray area to me right now. It may become pretty boring waiting around in a lobby or playing through host migration once the goodies run out. That's usually where the map and modding community have always picked the ball up to help keep the games alive. If IW doesn't take this into consideration, I may then have to re-evaluate if I continue to play or not. For now though, I'm having a blast and if I don't run into too many issues down the road, I'll still be playing for atleast a few months.
I respect all of you guys who are up in arms over the whole thing and you are rightly justified to be upset. There's just not a whole lot we can do. If they never give us what we want, then were just gonna have to keep playing the other versions and forget all about this one. I feel bad that some of you went ahead and spent your time and money to atleast give it a try only to find out that as it is, it's not the game for you. I've bought a few games over the years that I ended up only playing a couple of times and felt as if I was just throwing money away. In time, we'll know for sure if this game has any future. For now, we make the best of it or go play something else.
To sum it all up, I'm just holding on to that tiny bit of hope that's buried deep down inside this game.
