I have a PC which is at the low end of the range so I really need a low-FPS config to play multiplayer. So far I have not bought the game (and it makes me even sick thinking about it). But I will definitely not buy it unless I can be halfway certain that I'll have an acceptable framerate. Withe COD4 my framerate is agreeable (~100 FPS) but as I have a 60 Hz LCD anything stable with 60+ FPS will be alright.
So has anybody created such a config yet?
Cheers, FoX

the yitch3 config just remove the a few commands and should be a quick substitute. since the limited it to 85 fps(not even 91, blank 85 fps) not that easy too test fps improvements.

Yeah, I started to put section by section of the yitch3.cfg into my regular config and see which settings prevent the game from starting. In the middle, I decided to see if I could actually load a map and see if there is already some improvement. But I got an error message ... so I guess there are even some more dvars or settings which don't work with the game. Very frustrating.

if u take the yitch3 config and remove probally easier to move all the r_ commands into your config first then go from there(have the biggest effect on fps).

Hi,
I quite like tinkering with gfx variables and even though my pc can produce a pretty good fps on max settings, I thought I would see what differences could be made without changing res size since I had a few hours free. Using "SpOp's" mode to uncap the max frames limit set mp side.
Not sure if it helps but here's a run down of what I found - around 90+fps from max. A modest gain imo. However this only gives the scale at which my pc's configuration will provide me with. Yours will have its own performance scaling factor because of its different build and spec. For those that may be interested my spec is below.
No change in screen size (Windowed at 1024x768) for both tests.
These are the only variables changed to produce the two image results below
Comparison images: 1024x786 current game settings 44 fps avg
1024x786 high fps game settings 144 fps avg This spot kills my frame rate which is 150ish anywhere else, mind you there are rather a lot of houses to render..
Highest fps from player location
Quiet a reasonable jump in fps without changing the res at all, but this was from pretty much high gfx settings to start with. take a look through the "spoiler" there may be a few you haven't tried.
