Re: PC version has more players than both consoles combined
I just hope that doesn't mean they are selling very poorly. Since day one there are max 26k people playing on Steam so that's a good figure. MW2 on Steam had max 30-40 for the first week or two.

on xfire BFBC2 is already played twice as much as MW2... seems pretty good, eventhough you can't rely on xfire stats a 100%

Re: PC version has more players than both consoles
Well considering the xfire and steam stats, that is rather easy to believe. Atleast for CoD4, the estimate was something like only 1/3 of the total population in games would be on xfire and what have you.
So that statistic from EA/Dice is a rather resounding "No" to the idea that PC is dead, especially considering the requirements to run BFBC2 reasonably well.

MW2 on Steam had max 30-40 for the first week or two. It's up to 31k. And that 31k doesn't count all of the people who DIDN'T get it on Steam. MW2's numbers count EVERYONE playing the game, since everyone who plays it does so on Steam. Even if HALF of the people who bought BFBC2 did so via Steam, which is highly unlikely, that would be 60k playing it on the PC. I'm guessing it's more like 100k, though. And that would mean roughly a third of the people playing bought it on Steam. Even that might be a little high.

PC sales are 16%. Maybe not counting the Steam sales, though. BC2 outsold BC1 in the first week 3:1.
