i saw someone saying even people with I7's cant run the game..... How am i ruining it then with a amd 9850X4 2.50ghz! the pc players are shooting them self if they do not give this game a chance! look at

Tryarchs History as a developer how they looked after the PC player
The fact that my lag seems to have gone after the updates i have just got
They sent out a update to me ON day one!
The game is very fun and very enjoyable

its far better then BFBC2 or MOH or MW! just give them sometime no wonder developers sun the PC platform if people just rage quit after the 1st hour of game play.

Post Re: First Impressions of MP
Instead of writing a new review i'll just post what i put in other forums. Ya unimaginative but it works..

One line to sum this game up in my thoughts..

fancy toys but in the same old box

Quote:
Ok so i played all day yesterday the sp and Multiplayer. i got some feedbaack id like to share with the community.

Single player:

its was enjoyable, i wish it was a bit longer. It took me 6.5 hours on hard to complete. I did feel it held to the COd experience and i didnt feel as restricted in my choices as other games. But there were times i wanted to take the lead in the campaign but was forced to "follow" someone else. Graphically it looked ok, the cut scenes were nicely done and detailed.

8/10 for the single player

Multiplayer

Graphics

1) textures seem "flat" and uninspired. I expected better
2) its built on the Codwaw engine, but codwaw has nicer , richer textures, better ambient lighting, and a nicer over all immersive "feel" to the game play.
3) environmental effects. Rain, blowing dust, blowing snow..sounds of wind..i didnt really see anything that added to the ambiance of the map.
4)explosion animations...IMO same ole, same ole. again i expected a little better.
5) FOV...where? i tried changing the fov and it really didnt make the difference it should have. it seems like the screen stays locked but weapon just adjusts a bit. Its most definitely not the same fov change i can have with codwaw. and on a 24 inch monitor a higher fov is one of the keys to enjoying the game more IMO.

Cod points + perks,addons

1) Not feeling like im earning my upgrades. Im just buying them at level 10 and $18,000 virtual bucks i could afford to kit some weapons out with the best scopes and can buy some of the best perks already. It evens the play field but i want to work for my stuff and not just buy it. A sense of accomplishment is missing because i dont have to really accomplish anything but wait for my bank roll to get bigger, which it does far to fast.

Customization and extras

1) love the customization they allow. the custom backgrounds and the custom avatar you can create for yourself. Nice idea

2) theatre mode, very cool. Like the idea and will put it to good use.

3) Zombies,,what else can be said shooting zombies is a lot of fun.

destruction or lack there of

Ok i admit Bfbc2 has pampered me some for the last # of months with some great destruction. destructible buildings, vehicles, fences lots of things to blow up. But can anyone even find a car that explodes in MP? maybe i missed it but i havent found anything yet. No walls, no fence, only little objects scattered around like a frat party ..bottles and stuff.
Sound engineering

1) weapons sounds are not "big" enough. I am using a asus xonar sound card and no matter what i do i cann make weapons get enough meat to them..I just feel like they haven't spent time to make the weapons sound as good as they could have

Overall feel of the MP game

It still has that cod "bounce" to it. It plays about as i expected for a cod title . I expected a far more graphically interesting look and feel to the game. Its 3 years after Codwaw release and it seems like we haven't moved ahead of those graphics but have moved slightly backwards in places.i just dont feel immersed into the map, the ambiance is missing. If i am fighting on top of a mountain with snow i would like to hear wind and see some snow blowing around. if i am in the jungle, make it rain. I know they recycled some sounds from old cod titles. But they could have added somke new ones. a good sound engineer, and treyarch has a few could have developed some really interesting background sounds for the game. its a small thing but a little extra effort in this area could have added much more to the game.

Buying my perks and addons maybe evens the paying field somehow..but it takes away a sense of achievement. because why achieve some something when you can just buy it.

Overall, the game is fun, but I wont say im not dissapointed overall in the final product. they Hype and videos and game play videos dont match up with the feel and experience i get in game. I was looking for an Mp game that is more graphically interesting, Immersive and sucks me into the environment i am playing in and holds my interest. I miss feeling i accomplished anything because now i can just purchase what i dont have. The game has a lot of interesting customisations but they dont add or give to the overall missing experince i expected from a game in 2010. Lack of being able to destroy , really anything. when i shoot a wood wall with a grenade launcher or a fence, it really should have an effect. I cant even shoot a light out.

For me the mp game gets a 7/10

I really dont think they are going to be able to fix this game

it may take lots of months

I am predicting that they will fix the lag issues, since they detected the 5000 rate (come on, who freaking does that? who hires people to set up those servers?), improve a little the performance, but it wont be enough and most people wont be able to play properly

but thats just my guess ...
lets hope I am just disappointed .. but really, the problem is one of the most bizarre ever, I dont think GTA's problem was worse than this ... or am I dreaming? that game I think you could still play with 20 fps ...I played here at least and you could still have fun

I don't even want to give a first impression, I don't think I'd be doing the gaming world any justice by flying off the handle! Been playing this game a long long time, and I'm just gonna say the last good game ever made was COD4.

Guys I left COD4 over 18months ago for QUAKELIVE and I've been addicted to it ever since. 125fps <--says it all <--the real quake sweet spot <-- the way CoD should (and used to) feel.

This whole experience is just rough for us right now....I think patience is going to be needed. I didn't have the patience to sit around while WaW was improved, and I boycotted Mw2....and here I am...Still wishing for the old days back.

I think we all need to look at other games if we want that feeling Cod used to give us.
