 Re: DLC and New Patch
I think you're supposed to release DLC just before people get burnt-out on the game. Just sayin'.

 Re: DLC and New Patch
One more thing: Gameservers said this on their forums: "Activision/Treyarch will be making an official announcement on exactly how the DLC's will work with the servers. You will not be forced to run the maps on the servers if you do not want to." But, for those servers that do run the new maps, you either won't be able to join them at all if you don't buy the DLC, or you'll get kicked when one of the new maps pops up in the rotation.

 Re: DLC and New Patch
I was so in love with the game when it came out and became playable that I was planning on getting it, I knew it wasn't going to be free. But since I tried Bad Company 2 I've decided to ditch CoD for good and I haven't even played it in months. Mostly thanks to StarCraft 2 Strange how that turned out. Maybe if they were quicker with the content (had less blank to fix) they would have gotten my money.

 Re: DLC and New Patch
Has anyone heard anything about "limited" mod tools?
BO is probably being uninstalled this coming weekend with the news that DLC is going to be for sale instead of free... especially with the state this game was released in, and continues to be a sub-optimal performer on my system.

 Re: DLC and New Patch
Punishing your own fanbase by Autokicking out of a server for not purchasing your DLC, how low have Treyarch and Acitivision stooped. Even IWNet handled it better, did I just say that IWNet did something better ?? WOW never thought I would hear myself say that, just goes to show what a clusterf**k Treyarch are.
You wont see MOD Tools of any kind untill every single DLC that they spew out has been rammed down your throat for $$$'s
Its not the money that pi$$e$ me off, Id happily buy DLC for other games I play as long as the Developer doesnt ignore the community, release a totaly broken game, take 4 months to patch it correctly (still yet to be seen) or disregard its own fanbase and punish players who dont buy DLC.
Even the fact that they wait till 4 days before release goes to show that they knew it would cause uproar and left it late as possible to limit the damage.
Im a loooong time COD gamer (in the past to the point of Fanboy!!!) on PC and this really really is the straw that broke the camels back. Im not buying the DLC simply because I dont like the game anymore, the thought of seeing a kick screen for daring not to purchase all that is thrown at me is tooo much of an insult.
In the UK the DLC is £12, for another £12 you can pick up a retail Homefront, or Crysis 2, £12 will get you MOH or BFBC2 ....
really has made me reevaluate my long term dependance on PC Cod gaming. time to move on.
