So basically they are encouraging piracy! :( Screw you IW-Activision! The one game I've been waiting for years, and you totally f*** it up for us. There will be some pirate who will find a hack through this, expect more legit players going on to the other side. And well, there goes my pre-order. I think I'll wait how all this finally concludes, then I can decide if I want to buy or just pirate it.

Just registered to say this is now Activision's new operational procedure. They seriously screwed up the latest installment of Wolfenstein, and now MW2 is going to follow the same path of appealing to the XBL and pissing on it's roots- the PC.

There are many regretting their pre-order of Wolfenstein. I didn't pre-order my copy, but i did buy it on day1, something I now regret. I'll not make the same mistake with MW2, instead I'll wait and see what the feedback is from gamers.

If you want to catch up on just how bad Wolfenstein really is, you can view the boards http://www.wolfenstein.com/board/
Their version of a community rep, like IW's fournothingwho is Sokal.

It's a sad time in the PC gaming world.

I just registered to say that I actually planned to buy this game when it releases. SCREW THAT s***! I'm just gonna stay with COD4. MW2 isn't even worth it to pirate!

@Bash: heard ur podcast and sorry to hear about the Ded server dilema. but also noticed that Steam working is unclear to u guys.

well Steam allows u to download Dedicated servers, and u can run any mods /custom maps u want on it (it goes in ur Steam\steamapps foldeR) and thats it.. u run teh linux/win server with whtever options u want console command line or with gui interface and thats it. rest is same as COD dedicated server setup. u can do anything. but players will be limited to legit steam players only.

These are very early days - and the full extent of what all this means is not clear to everyone.
However, karar -- interesting to hear this and i'll be the first to say, we are not that familiar with Steam. So we'll be trying to understand what all this means.
