Sorry for the delay in getting this to you. I fell ill after coming back from the event. Laryngitis, difficulty breathing...you name it. I'm a bit better after a short visit to the hospital, believe it or not. ...what I go thru for you guys!
Interesting Comments about these "three pillars". I would have thought the "social" pillar is more likely to encompass some sort of friends/social interaction interface (think Steam community) as well as integration with the co-op mode and the friends/squad system used in World At War.
I know they didn't want to discuss multiplayer at that event but I do with devs would come clean about what they are planning. For instance, there is a big difference between Open Dedicated servers (such as CoD4) and closed ones (such as BFBC2) and the devs must know which they are designing the game around.
I also wish they would work with the community (even when using closed servers) to create playing modes that replicate the most popular mods around, such as normal, hardcore and competitive. Not only that but it would be nice if they committed to releasing the open server files after whatever period of time (say 18 months) to enable people to come up with mods once the game is no longer hot property. Come to think of it, DICE should do the same for their BF series.

Actually ALL I am playing is BC2. With one exception ( I played as a sniper on TF2 last nite.... noted eSports legend rob-wiz was a sniper on the other team...he pwned me sooooooooo bad, I may never recover).
All those issues you brought up Quercus I discussed with the devs at Treyarch. I got a lot of longing glances...but no answers.

LOL - and how did you interpret those longing glances - the fact that they would like to do that but couldn't, the fact that they wished they could tell you what they were planning on or the fact that they wished they could wear that slinky little black dress you had on?
By the way, what did your wife do while you were at the event?

Interesting podcast...very enjoyable. Did you get to meet up with Joker? He's about 80 miles due east of where your were. I live up the coast in Ventura (no smog - same weather) May and June suck near the coast with coastal low clouds which locally we call "June Gloom".

Yup. Joker, his wife and Paulo88, his kids and wife...all of us went and ate dinner at a sports bar in the Promenade region of Santa Monica. It was a slightly cool, but nice eve.

They creeped me out a bit. I kinda figured they either knew something they couldnt tell me...or perhaps they had a eureka moment...it was difficult to gauge really.
