Ok, I'm sure every1 has noticed the BF3 beta. I was excited, very excited.. oh whats this? Console, xbox gold account...

Would like some input on this matter. My guess is that this is gonna turn out bad. Console getting more support and time, and the PC getting left last in line. I'm very tired of the gaming industry.. If this game was made strictly for PC think of the potential.. do you guys think it will be neutered?

I'm positively sure it will.

I'm intruiged by how long this game has been in development. Since BF2? Since BC2? Since MoH? I think it's safe to say that if it didn't start until after BC2 then it will be another rush job like what MoH looks to be (based on my beta experiences).

But in either case I've got my MoH limited edition on pre-order so I guess I'll find out when the bf3 beta comes out in a year or so.

Given how much cash console games earn, I think it's safe to say that we can wave bye-bye to PC exclusive FPS games. I believe that even Valve will have Half Life 3 for Xbox and Ps3, looking at how thing are going. Look at the blasphemy of Crysis 2. Ps F'n 3? Ah well, we can either suck it up or find new hobbies, but the old way is gone forever.

I hope that Crytek will be able to make a similar good game like Crysis with Crysis 2 although it will be on consoles too. At least it seems as if support modders and or mapers will be offered.

Yeah, I agree. Its when they make the PC version just like the console versions is when it gets sad. I am holding out for Crysis 2. Hope the PC version doesn't strive to give me "the console experience". I hear ya Kucd, I forgot about those games. I was speaking of the more "blockbuster" games. But, it's true, there are some good ones I should look into more.

I can see Heroes of Stalingrad becoming a game that may entice console gamers to get a gaming PC if enough marketing is done. With the promises of a total conversion mod for Vietnam, WW1 and others in the work already, all for free I believe, this is a game that has a hell of an appeal.

Yep, my old MOHAA clan was switching to Red Orchestra back in 2007. I pretty much ignored it and went on to COD4 and such. But, I think I may have overlooked a very, very sweet game. Looking on YouTube at the gameplay walkthrough of Heroes of Stalingrad, it looks like something I could become a serious addict on. Thanks Kucd for bringing it to my attention.

well, FPS games have take a turn for the worse lately but this has just made me realize that consoles can never replace a PC. Sure you can play FPS on them, even if dumbed down, but I could never see DotA(LOL/HON) or anything of that level of complexity on a console so I just play those now and keep my eyes open from the next greatest mod/indie game. In the end console publishers will not take any risks they will never come out with the next counterstrike, portal, starcraft, DotA, ect. Console games are always clones because of the money that is needed to make a game on a system. I'm tired of Halo, COD, Battlefield, ect but thats all consoles will ever offer.
