if i play this beta and its crap im not buying DICE don't seem to change anything from beta/demo to launch i don't want another MOH

It would, at least at first glance, seem unlikely that they would choose go head-to-head with the biggest launch of the year, and each year more media focused and hyped, so I would assume a Christmas/New Year launch to be the earliest "realistic" launch window. Otherwise, it's Jan/Feb 2012.

Or they have a closed beta before to work out client side issues first and give a open public beta to stress test the servers/network. Remember they replaced plasma from bfbc2, the software that runs the ranks. That was the reason for all the server issues and lag.

Yup but I think this may be related to Xbox and/or consoles.

Read the article again. It's been updated. Patrick Bach said there is no demo. Only a beta.

Seeing as this is our biggest product launch ever at DICE, we are going to put a lot of emphasise on the beta and also collect community feedback on it as well .
