This. How could anyone expect them not to build the comma rose into the Alpha to at least try it out? At least we know now that they didn't just check it out the window when developing. At one point they were actually seeing if it'd be good for the gameplay. If they can find an alternate solution for the comma rose that works, I'm all for that. To be honest, I would like a simplified version of the comma rose, sort of like the squad leader commands like in BF2 and BF2142. The "q" comma rose had almost too many options. Most of the time your commands went unheeded. All we really need is: Need Ammo, Need Medic, Need Artillery, Need backup, Need Pickup (changes to "Get In/Get Out" when in a vehicle), Attack/Defend, Follow Me, and spotted.

Squad leaders could have something like in the following image. Squad members would have the Top and Bottom buttons removed. I removed the "Thank You" and "Sorry" buttons and changed "Roger That" and "Negative" to "Need Repairs" and "Need Artillery" but otherwise it's pretty much the same.
