Hmm, kind of explains things I said in another thread. Graphically, the game ain't all that great. Not for a game that was heralded to be the most advanced video game ever made. Still fun though. But, I am a graphics whore at heart.

Quote: "We said originally that the PC was the lead SKU of the game, but in mid-production we switched to console as lead platform to make sure we could get all the versions done for release," Troedsson confirmed. Ya they needed to at some point if they were going to get it polished and ready for consoles. They are trying to take some of the market shares from COD in the console side too. (not saying BF3 will sell more than COD will on consoles) BF3 is a epic game!!

Re: BF3 lead platform changed to consoles in mid-development
I was just going to post this article. It definitely does explain things and I'm not happy. It is clear the PC version took a hit somewhere in development. It's quite apparent just by looking at the deployment screen in-game. Not DICE's fault, though. It's EA's. I really don't think that releasing BF3 first did much. I have the feeling they could have released a month or two after MW3 and still get the same or similar amount of sales. There are the people who are just playing this because it's a big shooter to hold them over to MW3, but I don't believe there are many like this. I think most of the people playing BF3 are happily playing because they already love BF or they are new to BF and think it's awesome. So, I don't think that EA would have lost a lot of sales from releasing a more polished game in the holiday season. The people who are hating on the game are either CoD supremacists or having technical difficulties with it.
Don't get me wrong. I love the game and didn't want to wait longer for release, but I would have had no problem waiting another month or two and I know most people wouldn't either.

Funny this comes out AFTER the games release. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the hell out of BF3 but there is issuses with the game , mostly menu problems and visual problems (no way to disable the glare and stupid visual after effects, come on it feels like someone it shinning a light in my face and smeared vaseline over my screen!) that should have never made it into a PC game or at least have a way to disable them.
And its obvious that most maps weren't play tested with 64 players.

I find the glare a problem as well. Also not a fan of lights attached to ppls guns (I don't find the fact that it gives them away to be much benefit).

I don't mind the tac lights, I mean thats there job, and if someone chooses to use it over the heavy barrel or the flash suppressor so be it.
But the sun is god awful, we should at least be able to disable it. I understand that everyone has to deal with it so no one is at an advantage, but its unrealistic and and shouldn't be forced to play around stupid cinematic design decisions.

The heavy barrel causes muzzle climb and the flash suppressor decreases accuracy = opportunity costs to their user for choosing to use it. What is the opportunity cost of using the tac light? Maybe there is one, but I am not aware of any.

I've been using the M16A4 lately (the 3 shot burst version of the M16) and with the heavy barrel's muzzle climb I've been scoring a lot of midrange headshots on the 3rd round, just aim center mass and BOOM HEADSHOT!.

Sounds like the old AK47 trick from C0D4. Sounds promising... Anyone tried the MP7 by chance? If so, what are your thoughts. I should unlock it tonight in co-op.
