@Dem0nAir We´re keeping the voip as it is right now. By increasing to this level of functionality we would have to make the VOIP solution a part of the game installation, which we currently don’t want from a business perspective.

BF3 has voip, but it's done on battlelog, with your friends.

That's not what people want. They want an in-game solution where they can use to chat to squad m8s but this has fallen on deaf ears.

It's an atrocious decision and a complete bull blank answer that the devs have given zh1nt0 to pass on.

I have never tried to use it Jo3. We use vent.

Give it a rest already Neil. If it makes you that upset, don't play the game. Like I said in the past, we prefer not to have it. I know some do and some don't.

No I won't give it a rest. I am quite entitled, as many others are, to complain about a feature that plays an integral part to team play, to which Battlefield games have been renowned for over the years. What is the point in having objective game types if you have no means to communicate in-game?

Join a clan and get on ts/vent. That's what we do. We work as a team all the time.

And the other thing you are forgetting is that just because there isn't voip, that is not the ONLY reason for poor teamwork on public servers. You still have to find public guys that are willing to work as a team(and if that's the case, then see my first sentence). Because there are a ton of people out there more worried about their kdr or what medals/badg/unlocks they are trying to get and don't play as a team.

You will always find a lot of poor teamwork on public servers in any game, even if they have voip. Sorry, but that's a fact.

Please don't throw the "use ts/vent" argument. I use both depending on what clans server I am on so that statement won't work on me. You are also missing the point that not everyone wants to download and configure third party VoIP programs to simply speak to random squad mates in each server they play in. In-game VoIP is a solution that compensates that where everyone in a squad can talk to each other without the fuss. I have played in many games on both BF2 and 2142 and I can tell you VoIP does make a difference. Sorry but that is a fact.

As for unlocks etc, they have been there for years with Battlefield yet people played as a team and when you did you found that you got more points than going lone shark. I still find that in BF3 when playing with friends but I do want the option to communicate with people who are not on my friends list and without the hassle of setting up some stupid group channel on Battlelog.

For a game like Battlefield to not have an in-game VoIP solution is a kick in the teeth to team play and objective based modes. Hell they may as well scrap conquest and rush and just have team death match.

No I said join a clan. That way you only have to setup ts/vent ONE time, just like voip.

If it was such a contributor to the actual gameplay, then either EA would have fixed it by now, or you would have stopped playing the game. But since either one of those have happened, it's obvious you are making a mountain out of a ant hill. Like I said, if you don't like it then quit playing.

What are you on about? This has nothing to do whether I am in a clan or not. It is about being able to communicate with people on your side without the necessity to go through installing various pieces of software and/or jumping in and out of the game to set up comm groups in Battlelog.

Its a half-ass attempt at fixing VoIP. They never bothered to try and fix it in BC2 so they decided to go with ESN Sonar which people don't want. Have you even looked at the forums and the most frequently asked questions on Battlelog? They all point to peoples dissatisfaction of how VoIP is absent within the game. I take it you haven't or you wouldn't have come out with a stupid statement like "mountain out of a ant hill".

I enjoy playing BF3 but it is frustrating with no in-game communication. So no I won't stop playing and I won't stop talking about the lack of communication with this game. If you don't like my post then I suggest you stop posting in reply to them.
