Some stuff we haven't seen yet. Can't wait for the MP trailers.

Re: Full 12-Minute Fault Line Trailer
Geforce.com published an interview with BF3's executive producer, Patrick Bach, a couple of days ago. The whole thing is worth reading, but this is inarguably the money quote: Quote: [Q] Do you feel the consoles are holding PC games back?
[A] Yes, absolutely. That's the biggest problem we have today. Most games are actually still based on the same core idea that the consoles are your focus, the superior platform or something. I don’t know why. That was the truth 5 years ago, but the world has moved on. PCs are way more powerful than the consoles today and there are actually almost zero games out there that actually use the benefits of this. So for our target of what we want to hit, we are now using the more powerful platform to try and prove what we see gaming being in the future rather than using the lowest common denominator, instead of developing it for the consoles and then just adding higher resolution textures and anti-aliasing for the PC version. We're do it the other way around, we start with the highest-end technology that we can come up with and then scale it back to the consoles.

Sweet find Messiah.
Glad to see a developer actually getting "it", and not just kissing @ss to try and sell copies like we have seen recently.

You must be careful. You can't be sure that the developer's word is solid truth. I trust DICE, though.

True, but Dice doesn't sell 5 times more copies of BF on consoles than pc's like Activision does with COD. They know where their fan base is, IMO.

Re: Full 12-Minute Fault Line Trailer
This may have been posted elsewhere, but FilePlanet has a 1080p version the full BF3 trailer available for download here. You must do this. The difference is substantial.

The first bad decision that EA made was to build the game with 2 completely different engines; SP using Unreal (I think?) and MP using FB 1.5. The game just didn't feel right. SP should be that stepping stone to the MP and with two different engines it facilitate that due to the different experience on both engines. DICE and Danger Close probably did the best they could with the time they had. DICE had too much going on with Bad Company 2, Vietnam and BF3. Whether DICE had a say in the matter of doing the game we do not know. Got to look at the positives here, the game is being around the PC first. This will probably save them a lot of problems if they were to "port" the game from console. BETA should tell us how good the game is potentially going to be.

Dice's game is BF and BC, NOT Moh. Neil wrote: Got to look at the positives here, the game is being around the PC first. I don't really think many people understand that. I think it's going to help us(pc gamers) out a lot.
