Ummmmm :S:S:S wow? thats dissappointing. i hate to brag but my gtx 580 chews this game a new one. if i tweaked my ram to lower cas, higher mhz and re oc'd to 4ghz on my 1090t i could get even more. sorry i know my pics make ppl drool over the fps but my config is not going public ( didnt say at all...) ive put alot of man hours. i have 289hrs in blops mp. i have that atleast in tweaking hours. not ready to give it up and share yet. sorry but im greedy atm. i srsly tho feel bad for u. with that card u should be getting really close to mine. whats ur proc? ram? alteast 2gigs? win xp is a must for my fps. untattainable in win7. ive done some messing around and retweaked my tweaked config from yesterdays patch. i think my game runs better at higher fps now.. has to be the patch some what. at higher fps i got at times in certain locations tearing and almost a stuttering feeling. now that is gone. again tho i want to know what exactly they changed...

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
I dont understand you ezre, leagues should be banning 500 fps anyway if they still have the same effect as in previous cods, and 333 or 250 fps bring other, legal advantages and good hit reg as well.
as for your mentality to not publish your config, knowledge is power, but people will find out one way or the other anyway, I spend a lot of time finding out what the best settings were, too... but thats just because my pc easily fulfills the max requirements and yet I had a hard time getting a constant 125 fps, which was my goal... that made me a little addicted to searching for more tweaks etc
but from my point of view you exaggerated a bit ^^ a stable 250 fps with a system like yours, what else could you wish for? it also has alwys been proven to be a good value (see promod)

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
sure, but if I had a system like ezre that I could achieve 250 fps no prob without much tweaks I'd do it happily and not spend too much time over my cfg anymore.
but eh, Ill rephrase my earlier statment, was a bit wobbly

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
Tweaking like the game itself can become an obsession as well as a hobby , and i do'nt think any of us could say we have never been obsessed with either at times.I would be interested in how the game played at 500 fps purely for mathematical curiosity because the engine is all based around the number 1000 ,to tell you the honest truth though i think maxfps 100 with max packets 100 has got to be the best in terms of smooth consistant registration. And when i'm specing my next machine thats all i want.

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
I doubt 100 100 is the best choice in an engine that is based on 125 fps.. besides, I get a more smooth feel and a betterlooking lagometer on 125 a completely flat green line to be precisely, which seems to be blank rare. people around me with twice as good hardware and twice as stable fps have a crap looking green line with lots of ups and downs in comparisation. probably everyone underestimates playing without firewalls /antivirs or the packet and general netwrok limitations of vista and 7 or forwarding ones ports

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
The engines not based on 125, 125 used to be the largest value of max packets its now 100, so if you use 125 fps in essence your only using 63 max packets ,the only viable number , fps/maxpackets must = integar. The difference between lower fps or lower max packets in terms of registration has never been tested to my knowledge because most people refer to Jocks sweet spot article for Cod 2.But a lot of people like the feel of 100 100 and a lot prefer 125 , less gravity etc.

 Re: new patch 2/7/11
I use 100 fps and 100 maxpackets and have solid green line all the time. I could be wrong but I think this smoothness is achieved because 100 is a multiple of 20 which every server has fps/snaps set to. I have never seen a perfectly flat green in the netgraph when maxpackets and fps weren't synchronized with the server.
