r_backbuffer either to both the lowest - 128 - or to your resolution
i believed ya that this should be according to your res. but it doesnt work like that. i found best performance at 128. im gaming at 1440x900 currently to see how much i lose on fps and if it affects my game to the point that i can keep steady fps and packets. but ive found worse results running with exact same settings as my res which means that this is/isnt the case. is bigger better? i say no in this case.
