 Re: Ezre config
I have the 2600k (not much more powerful then the 2500k) and a Gtx590 and it is amazing ruining @ 5.5 Ghz not getting hot at all, and i get well over 400 fps and 333 stable. It made the game fun again for me

It made the game fun again for me You rich bastard lol. I'm on a budget so I can't afford a Gtx590 so I'm just gonna buy a gtx 470 so I can run it in SLI wit my current one. And from what I've read The only advantage the 2600k has over the 2500k is that it has a 100mhz faster clock speed, hyperthreading (useless to me), and a 2mb bigger l2 cache (maybe it was l3 lol), which doesn't make the 100 dollar difference to me at all. Also, what cooling setup do you have in order to get an insane OC like the 5.5 ghz u have atm?

 Re: Ezre config
I bought this 20mins b4 i had to go to work after talking to a friend telling me how my 1090t was being bottle necked by my 580. I really didnt do my homework... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131759he told me it was a great deal and since im not planning on running SLI and have a mid tower case it was all good for me. From what i can tell its a pretty good board. I'm getting used to the EUFI bios as well as oc'ing on an intel platform. Something i havent done since the days of FSB. So its all new and there are TONS of options for overclocking that im just going to leave alone. as far as homework... well im still running a IDE optical drive.. i havent updated to SATA so ya.. needless to say installing drivers became a pain but i got it working now. and btw Jo, how did u get yours passed 5ghz? I have an option for 4.2 or 4.6. I havent messed with any multiplier settings just used auto to test it out. same goes for the software i really dont like oc'ing software. im old school.

@ezre
I have the same issue and I'm quite sure I know that this is the issue. PCDev tweeted a while ago that it was the game flooding your routers iptables, which overflowed them, which I found out would require a router restart to flush the iptables and return to normal. The solution is to simply get a better router as many cheaply made routers can have their iptables flooded easily.

 Re: Ezre config
i have one and i might try that. although.... with my old ISP i tried to use my old router (2 wire modem) and the device had to be "registered" to be cleared to be used because my other ISP were dicks and didnt allow 3rd party routers....i might try it with my new isp. well see how that goes
i scrimmed tonight and didnt not have an issue tho.
my p2p windows 7' SHH DONT TELL ANYONE. came with a setting that tweaked the TCIP settings i believe. i guess win 7 sends only 10 packets or some bs and this was supposed to fix it (this small program). WELL whatever the FCK it was i wish i wouldnt have used it but i cannot find exactly wtf its called or does. I believe it was mentioned on steam forums and maybe here too. i believe it could be flooding my router. just a theory.

 Re: Ezre config
I'm building a new computer and I was wondering if I'd be able to run 125 constant, the specs are going to be an i7 2500k which I'm prolly not going to OC, an Asus Z68 Deluxe, 8gb of G.Skill ddr3 1600 RAM, and an EVGA 560ti. Additionally, i'm going to be running the game at 1680x1050 @ 60hz since the alienware optx monitor is ridiculously expensive atm so I'll just wait for a sale. I was thinking I might not be able to get 125 stable and if that's the case I'll just get another 560 since 560 sli runs a lot better than a single 580 even though they use more power.

"since the alienware optx monitor is ridiculously expensive atm" hahaha yea..... i got mine of ebay for $349 u will be able to run 125 stable for sure. i mean i was surprised i can run at 250fps with just a new proc but then again the 580 is a monster so they go together, not saying a 560 wont do good either. you dont need 8 gigs at all... its also easier in the future for u to run 4gigs at a higher speed then 8gigs. from what my intel buddy said u want the higher speeds and u do not mess with the timings in a sandybridge platform. Also memtweakit from asus does that for you i believe. thats the first thing i did right off the bat was tweak my ram to old settings--- blue screen right away. with the turbo u can set how high ur proc will automatically oc. its convenient but hardcore ppl would just set a stable clock rather than a fluxing one. but for me its fine atm. well if your like me, buy some now some later. i got my 580 and intel board/ram in November. Bought my monitor when? april? Just now got a new cpu/board in JUly.
