i know what tanks means but it seems to me you never really tried the mod out. there is no such thing as a tank. the AK 2 shots on shorter ranges - on all classes. doesnt matter if the guy has a ghost or a lightweight model. just try it out. its 3 shots on longer ranges btw.

since its always been like this, I am really surprised you talk like this. a tank? seriously? whats next, a supporter with the sniper rifle that takes less damage? It seems to you are drunk or really disorientated at the moment, else I could not explain such posts.

if they dont die earlier, it just means you dont hit.

all in all the mod is nice and fun, though I personally wouldnt have mind if they left the damage of the guns where it was (only reduced aku range a bit). it uses the cod4 promod values of gun damage and ranges btw.

my bad.

It appears the xkmod i was playing on was an earlier version even tho i thought it was live. I played live today and really enjoyed it. I also did some changes regarding my computer and updated drivers and my game is running smoother.

I was having issues with black ops closing correctly.. and it would sometimes give me and error. Even black screening and stalling and never going to my desktop unless i crtl-alt-delete to change tasks.

All is well.

BTW, does xKmod have a menu like promod to switch fov's? or use filmtweaks? I'm not a fan of 90 fov (viewscale change either). the site says u can change between 80 and 90 fov...

thx

theres a new menu item in options which lets you change fps, packets, fov, sunlight, sun on/off, normalmap flat/unchanged

thats it unfortunately. also, normalmaps, sun and sunlight are not getting saved atm (even when you write protect your mod config). not sure about fov.

yup. its ther under multiplayer options. I guess i wasnt expecting it to be in the esc menu rather a simple key that brought up a small menu like cod4 promod.

Some nice options in their. Now only to have binded keys for them like "bind 7 openscript promod xxx"

Post Re: Ezre config
I have recently started experimenting some more with my sound as I have just recieved my new soundcard, the Asus Xonar Essence STX. Before I had it so that my relatively cheap Sony Headphones (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRNC7-BLK-Canceling-headphones/dp/B001EYU3L2) were hooked up to my Realtek on board sound card and the output was set to headphones in the Realtek control panel, WinXP control panel, and in game. I also had a flat EQ and in game i had the surround and center channels disabled. Directional sound wasn't very accurate to say the least. Now after I got my sound card I tried out the Dolby headphone mode, which is virtual 5.1 surround. Now I didn't want to use the 7.1 surround since I believe BO only has 5 audio channels as they're only 5 channels you can mess with. So I basically re enabled the center and left/right surround channels as well as disabled my onboard soundcard and set the windows xp sound setup to 5.1 (additionally set snd_speakerconfiguration to 5.1) and my directional sound is much much better. I can easily pinpoint within ~60 degrees of where an enemy is. I can't wait til my AKG K701s arrive as then I'll be able to get the fullest out of my soundcard and from what I've heard the directional sound that the 701s possess is amazing.

TL;DR: i liek sound.

I'm not that into music. 720p on youtube is good enough for me, although flac with foobar2000 sounds quite good.
