Post FPS drops after some hours of play
Hi,
I installed Win XP sp 3 removed useless services and performed for playing.
I can play at 125 COSTANT fps in 90% of the maps, but after 2 hours of play fps drops at 80-90 and and its impossible to do 125 costant fps... i must have to reboot my pc and then i can do 125 fps for 20-30 min then dops to 80-90.
After 2 hours of play CPU(q6600) is at 75° my GPU(Nv. ENGTS450) is at 60° so i dont think its a warmingup problem..

Whats the problem?

Sorry for bad english its not my main lang :P

your cpu is at 75C? thats hot enough.

if u get 125 and then after awhile it drops it has to be related to heat build up in your case. Thats the only logical assumption assuming no other processes are running and you can get the fps as you say constantly at first.

I havent any process that use too much memory/cpu/gpu its only the essential.

Now i can try to monitorate the cpu usage and gpu usage

Im not entirely sure.

It still could be a heat issue. Your case could be having issues with expelling (getting rid off) the abundance (alot) of heat.

OR you need some config tweaking... OR maybe mess with the nvidia control panel settings. (i have a thread up that shows my settings)

AND maybe your video card is getting to hot as well. WHich means u need more intake of cool air for it and better flow of hot air out of the case.

just my guesses.

my config is out dated but if it works for you great. configs are very personal and not meant to be a "cure all"

cod4 configs were more popular but performance wasnt the main issue like it is in black ops.

w/e works for ya i guess. just go with it
