Well DX11 I wont be using it anytime soon. Maybe after Nvidia comes out with their 300 series and then only after they come out with revision 2 of those cards. To bad it's going to be awhile because I just got Windows 7 and would love to test it out.

Re: Heard that BF:BC2 is now a DX11 game.
what people dont understand is that id doesnt matter what api the game is using if the games wasnt being developed from day one with dx11 in m,ind, chances are they are doing the crysis thing where they are coding the game in dx9 the entire time and just slap on a dx11 overlay in the end of the development process which is what every game has done so far, unless a game is coded from the ground up to specifically use dx11 from day one, we will only see a performance drop when playin in dx11 as opposed to dx9, meaning we will never get the full advantages of dx11.
So we are just going to see 2 completely different lines of code, one from dx11 and one from dx9 rather than just one from dx11 since dx11 is a superset, so unless they through out all the old code from their dx9 development we will see not one little ounce of benefit from it.
"but but, what about tesselation" tesselation doesnt mean a damn thing when the game runs choppy as hell when the thing was prodominantly coded in dx9. So the little eyecandy is meaningless when your running less than 60fps. And i guarantee players will switch to dx9 when their gameplay starts to take a bad turn.
Id much rather be running the game over 60fps getting perfect headshots and smooth gameplay with the graphics and hdr and crap set to low than i would playing it all maxed with eyecandy set to bleed getting 20-40 fps and getting blinded and poor visibility from the hdr.
