 Patience is in order
Any minor problems with installation, updates or account and loss of player names have to be taken in stride. The bottom line is the optimization that Dice promised is real. This game rocks. It is gorgeous. It is crisp. It is for real.
I lost my player name into the ether but so the blank what.
I can't wait to really dive into the game . Over much time.

I take it you're one of the lucky ones who didn't buy off Steam.
Glad to hear it. I wasn't among those who were still slightly hurt over IW's mess, so I always kept my hopes up. Glad to hear they delivered. Just waiting on Steam to finish the install.... ~7 hours now and still only 86%.

 Re: Patience is in order
I got to play plenty of multiplayer before the EA servers failed. I was really impressed by the graphics and maps. The 360degree tank smokescreen is such a fun ability to use in a tank battle. Damage and hit detection seem to be fine didn't notice anyone taking an abnormally large amount of shoots to kill. I only played conquest.
Tips.
You can change your FOV in the settings.ini file located in your my documents folder. I set mine at 80 but you can set it to at least 90 but I haven't tried higher you can also turn off bloom. The game is really bright with some graphic settings.
If you can't see server pings in the browser then goto the game exe and check run as admin, you wont be able to select this option for a desktop shortcut.

 Re: Patience is in order
I have been critical over the lack of dedicated servers as we have known them in the past and such. But I must say in all honesty that this game is groundbreaking in it's visual beauty and photorealism. The gameplay is crisp and the realism can be a bit disorienting at times with the foliage, attack angles and all the destructibles.
The MP is solid in every area that the beta was not.
I will say that for me there will be a learning curve as I learn a role in MP that suits my playing style.I have a lot of work ahead of me.I am not used to games with a large keyboard layout.
Curiously whenever I record with fraps the quality suffers so greatly in the AVI that the result is nowhere near what my monitor shows.I am working on that.

If that was directed at me, the friend request, then you got it. I'm still not a fan of the HDR Bloom effect. Even though I have it turned off in the settings.ini file, the bloom is still incredibly huge. As a sniper I can't see anything in the distance on most maps. It's really bad on anything with snow or desert sand. Other than that I'm loving the MP experience in this game. As an ex competitive gamer myself it's refreshing to go back to fighting as a team rather than a lone wolf.
EDIT: When I try to search for ibleed, I get 3 hits. ibleed, ibleedgravy and ibleedv20. Did someone snipe you're "ibleedv20" tag? Which one of those is your soldier name?
Edit2: Also as a side note. When I signed into my EA.com account in game I tried to create my soldier with the name I used in the beta. Said it was taken, but when I hit cancel it brought me to the soldier select screen, and it was there.

 Re: Patience is in order
my game name is nastynate? ..if any1 wants to add, I'll be blaying the crap out of this game as I always do with bf games. I chuckled quite a bit at sp references to mw2, and I think dice is saying hey IW move over, we do this better. What u said about photo-realism... the game is just amazing... jungle maps look like they are almost on par with crysis, toned down some but very similar. I need some ppl to play with in squad deathmatch... I'm really liking this game mode. Now that the wait is over I'm getting anxious about bf3, imagine this level of graphics and gameplay mixed with bf2, it would blow your mind.

 Re: Patience is in order
Yeah, I love the game itself, but damn, I'm losing my patience with the bugs. I just built a new rig and the same probs exist, so, it wasn't my old rig. Sometimes connect, sometimes not, game freezes at random, comes back, etc... I know patience is required, but how much more before they tweak this. I play to relieve the day's tension, lol, but it ain't cutting it.

I had a patience breakdown yesterday when I had strange mouse acceleration problems.I was on the Bash vent with Jock and a guy named Valleyhunter.I threw my headset off, said some choice words and got the hell out of dodge.Yes this game is testing a lot of people's patience. It was my first Rage Quit ever with a game so you are not alone. Hang in there buddy. Only a good game would have us working this hard. I hope you get your bugs worked out.

 Re: Patience is in order
Truth be told, Valleyhunter and I were giving him a beatdown just prior to it...so the meltdown was understandable. By the way, two points to the dude on EA's official forums who renamed the game "Bad Connections 2". lol. And speaking of taking a rage-pill, check out @therealrudedog 's very loud Twitter posts at DICE. LMAO.
