Post MP Beta Impressions summary
The impressions of the MP Beta run a wide range. I wanted to summarize where people are with Tier1, so it's poll time. Note if you change your minds...you can always change your vote.

I wish there was an option for "good, with potential to be outstanding if polished" lol

They are going to need a ton of polish if you ask me. Fair to good but that doesn't get it for 60$. Cancelled my pre-order. Yes, I have said some good things about it but that bad out weighs the good.

Yeah, if you read my post in the other thread, i agree that they have several things that need work. I think all of them are do-able, and I think if they can fix them up this could be huge. It feels like the next step from COD4, everything else being tangents lol. If there was run-strife, prone, lean, and some graphics/audio polishing it would be that game. Right now? no. I really like the hit-reg (minus the lack of bullet penetration through some already exploded boxes and a couple other issues) and shooting people just feels good in general. Basically, if they polish the graphics and audio i'd still buy it. I'm used to playing BC2 now so the lean, prone and run-strafe i don't "need" (yes i would love to have them but what can you do?).

I think the biggest thing this game is lacking is the destruction. all the textures that look kinda fudgy can be fixed at any time, but it'd be much harder to patch-in or update for final the destruction. this is the game they plan on running with, minus a list of bugs and suggested fix feedback on the forums, so adding in that destruction would be the biggest change for them IMO. They obviously have the capability, they just seem to think it's more realistic without it. I would agree that a lesser degree of destruction would be more realistic, buildings should nto come down and entire walls should not be removed in this game, but blowing walk-through-hole (or at the very least a shoot-through-hole) in a wall with an RPG or tube?-YES. that would be absolutely fantastic in this game. right now it's like an amped MW game where all the little boxes and things on the ground can be shot up, but even then, i feel like there should be pieces remaining somewhere, not just things dissapearing.

BUT IN THE END: that's just a graphical thing for the most part (cept for actually going through the holes in the walls), the gameplay is still pretty damn good. at least I believe it probably will be in the final build.

I don't think the final verdict is anywhere near a reality at this point. I want to see if they patch the beta at all and what announcements they'll make about changes for the final build before i cancel anything. I think it will be a fun game to play. Even if it doesn't become this mythical game we've been searching for since cod4, it could still be very fun and give me hours and hours of good times =)

Post Re: MP Beta Impressions summary
I am very disappointed with this game the sound terrible u carnet tell were people are you can turn around and see 3 baddys and not know how they got there, you can hear your own footsteps and think it is someone, the grenades do not kill anything even if u are literally on top of them. The Nade launchers do nothing you have to be perfect a little behind them and they will not die a little b4 them and they will not die, the RPS are also the same, the guns feel like pea shooters!

Snipers are still way to over powered, the maps are a lot smaller to small in fact like a MW2 map (a box). The is no recoil on any guns, the sever browser still! doesn’t work the sites on the guns are really awful the Afghani ones the most but by far the worst thing is that it takes a age to aim down the site of your gun it is easier to go around firing form the hip. You can duck back around a corner and get shot because the game still thinks you are out of cover. You hav no idea where the enemy’s are you just come across them all guns but snipers are blank at far to mid range, the aspect ratio is to cock ppl who are not that far away are like pin pricks on the screen, no gravity no reason to move from BFBC2 to it it really is a thrown together piece of crap just to try to get the MOH fan boys buying it and also the ppl from BFBC2, that is why there is no support they want us to mave to this!!!!!

Im not going to buy this game as DICE and EA hav got enough money out of me with BFBC2 a half finished game wich promissed decicated severs but game a half arsed version of them, this game is worse once you get over the fun of it’s a new game it feels sluggish to move the gun around it repetitive and boring the graphics aren’t that good BFBC2 looks better, the game annoys you because you blast someone with a m16 and they just one shot you with a sniper!

I am completely disappointed and I’m going to cancal my pre – order after the beta has ended, they tried to copy MW2 you can really see it they were thinking they could make MW2 with Dedicated severs but this is just a mess of a game, I think that COD Black Ops will win the fight hands down as cod games always worked well when they came out even MW2 it worked, this doesn’t work and BFBC2 didn’t work well for weeks after and still needs fixing, by this point games like COD4 and COD5 were doing very fine tweaks to the game for perfection BFBC2 it just about working to a standard and this MOH will be even worse. Really annoyed I w8ed all that time for the beta and all that trouble and the game is just a hyped up grey boring broken game, DICE should put all there man power into fixing the game they already sold to us!!!!!

there was my rant of the day out of they way :D

I gave it an average, as I believe it has great potential to be good or even great.

Can't wait for Oct. 12th.

As of right now the MoH beta is horrible, it's more like pre-alpha than beta. It basically feels like a first try at a mod for Bad Company 2. Also, they are charging 60 dollars for MoH, when BC2 was only 50 dollars like every PC game should be.

Not bad (when it works), but hardly gripping either.
As has been pointed out on the podcasts it lasts anything to set it apart from existing shooters or to give it the initial "wow!" factor needed to make any long term impression. BC2 stood apart by the exceptional sound and destruction 2.0 - MoH has neither.

The beta is also an intensely frustrating experience - constant crashes and deaths to people with better weapons or better sights than the starting one.

At the moment I am veering towards CoD Black Ops instead of MoH.
