No one has posted here yet... So, what do you think of it?
I think it was a joke of a game lol. I'll stick with my UO.

What about you guys?

CoD2 was the first CoD game I played - and I have yet to play UO.

Mr_Nickle, your comments seem to be fairly common amongst those that played the latter (UO); that is, that CoD2 was a retrograde step.

Having said that, after playing CoD4 exclusively for three months - I have gone back to get my CoD2 fix.

Now...I don't play the stock version of CoD2 online. I think I would have taken my own life long ago had I been forced to only play CoD2 stock. I play the FKRmod and *of course* the eXtreme+ mod. Interestingly, there are some very interesting parallels to the extreme+ gameplay and CoD4. I always tell the folks on mycallofduty.com that IW ripped off eXtreme+ when they made CoD4.

Another reason I've shifted out of CoD4 (for a little while) is that I'm fairly bored with the CoD4 maps - in contrast, some of the CoD2 maps are just amazing. I blogged on ISLAND MADNESS the other day, and I'm a huge fan of the spawn-rape maps like Yuko.

And I never seem to tire of the stock maps like Toujane, Carentan, and Matmata...classics. So much so that some have recently been converted to CoD4.

Yet another reason I've moved back to CoD2: the kiddies have gone on to CoD4, so the CoD2 gaming is a bit more sedate right now.

As for CoD2 single player, I still remember the goose-bumps I had playing as a Russian soldier and listening to the whistles of a German-Counterattack on my position. I remember actually being scared in my virtual foxhole at the sight of hordes of Teutons descending on my position. For a game to do that to me... was and is amazing. For that experience alone it will hold a special place for me. CoD4's single player never even got close to getting me to that "place" - even thought the graphics are out of this world.

The UO game play was certainly better than CoD2, but once I started playing CoD2 with the extremely improved graphics, I just couldn't go back to UO.

CoD 1 and UO are incredibley fun games. But as Deuce said, the improved graphics made me move on (also the white crosshair when you shoot someone is really cool). I still play ALOT of CoD1 as does my clan, I don't play UO as much.

I've been playing CoD since the start :) It's the first FPS that I actually played online and got active in the community. CoD is a great game, but with UO added onto it, it's amazing.

Even while I play CoD4, I often play UO as well. Sometimes even before I think about playing CoD4.

Some of the maps are getting quite boring I'd say, but I still enjoy to play on others quite a lot. Thankfully custom maps will soon be on ranked servers - That'll be excellent, I can't wait for Harbor and Carentan conversions. You never get tired of Carentan? You can thank CoD for that ;)

Most of us did think that CoD4 SP was quite a let down, especially since you could beat it so quickly. In my opinion, it wasn't as solid as previous CoD games.

I can see how players would move onto CoD2 due to the graphics, but in my opion it's gameplay over graphics. Graphics are good, but think of a game like Crysis - They're amazing, the SP is very fun, but in MP the gameplay just isn't as good.

Kind of funny that the people who made CoD: UO, could make an abomination like CoD3.

Very true. Just as J had said, good things do take time. Gray Matter aren't the best, but they sure did a great job on UO.
