CPU improvments may come this week.
@pcdev via twitter wrote: Trying to roll out another patch before the weekend. CPU optimizations and Zombie matchmaking fix included. QA starts in the AM. Stay tuned. http://twitter.com/#!/pcdevExcited! In other news I've been playing the game using the cod4 config that has been circling around and it does the job until we get this patch. Slow down with the hate people, under the stuttery and laggy shell there's a f*ing awesome game.

it doesnt matter any type of config or tweak, I tried all, drivers, in this game, it runs but really, with 30 fps I cant really play, if I wanted to play with 30 fps I wouldnt have upgraded the cpu

I use E8500, 4GB ram & a ATi 4870 card. Tried tweaking my own config, tried several other peoples I found on forums, just doesnt help For me the game just freezes/stutters consistantly, every 5 or so seconds it will just lock up and that lock up can last for 0.5 seconds, or up to 10 whole seconds sometimes :/ Its killing the game for me, I just cant be bothered to play it with this performance

E8400 overclocks to 4.0 without any problems. I speak from experience. Your CPU is your bottleneck.

Re: CPU improvments may come this week.
I've been one of the luckier ones I guess. I run XP, Q9650@3.0 stock, 2G ram, GTX 260 SLI and get usually around 80fps @1680x1050 using the ingame settings at low.Even on high I run 70 or so. Don't get me wrong, I still get drops down to 50 sometimes but rarely do I see red. I'm wondering if it's just a DX9 issue? My understanding is that most console games are going to run DX9 so maybe it's related?

They have to fix the game cause Bobby Kotex wants to sell a crap load of DLC for this game. He's not going to do that if people are not happy. Selling DLC is hard when people ARE happy. I am able to play the game well enough to enjoy it however, I freeze and stutter also. I absolutly LOVE IT when I run into someone in a hallway, point my barrel at their ugly face and FREEZE when I pull the trigger. That makes me so happy! It's like blueballs CoD style. I'm afraid to look at my framerate. I really like the game but, damn does it have it's issues. Unnaceptable from such a friggin big AAA studio. They need to get their sh*t together. I do like the game though and plan on sticking with it. As crappy as the game was released and the vast amount of hate bombers in the forums, there is something there. Treyarch has a great rep with me from W@W. They have proven "TO ME" they will stick with their products. I don't feel like I have wasted my money. I just hope they get all this crap fixed and the necessities added in a timely manner. Here's hoping for all CoD fans.

Re: CPU improvments may come this week.
Bobby gets a bad wrap because he says things gamers don't want to here. But he came up with the idea for a PC WWII shooter called COD not IW and he seeded the money to make the game so whats so bad about him? He isn't dumb he is going to give the majority of players what they want because he wants his games to sell. The real villain is Microsoft and the 360. They bribe game companies and strong arm them into making bad ports.
