Theirs must be a older version or something. Looking at that trailer on their frontpage, the graphics look like COD2. Way to cartoonish for me. Not impressed at all.

Says the guy who plays CoD 7.

There is no way the graphics in Black Ops look as dated as COD2's graphics. For a start, in campaign mode, there is total full body (including face) motion capture animation - the same system that Cameron used in Avatar. The facial animations in Black Ops are some of the most realistic there are. Then, in multiplayer, you have the rim-lighting and dynamic shadow system from COD4. No, no way are Black Ops's graphics as dated as COD2's.

Where did I mention CoD2?

We all know that CoD7's gfx are nowhere near top notch, probably more fitting to a game released in 2007-2008 than a late 2010 release. So I just think it's funny that somebody who plays CoD7 complains about gfx. I've recently played CoD2 again, and the CoD's gfx haven't evolved a lot. There is just more stuff on the screen at the same time.

Also, HoS won't feature shoebox maps like CoD, you are probably looking for at last 4-5 km² for the tank only map.

TRTL - graphics in UE3 look like COD2. Lemon - TRTL says that after admitting he plays Black Ops. Conclusion, Lemon implies that Black Ops graphics are worse than UE3/COD2.

Thank you for spelling that out for him.

What does this quote have to do with graphics??

This is the CODBO section. Would be nice if you kept your RO stuff in the other section. If there isn't enough traffic there for you, then maybe that should tell you something.

Thank you for explaining to me what I said.

Anyway, it's sad that there is so much agression and hate around here. I was just suggesting a different option to Freakingout UK and he obviously appretiated it. No need to come in hating.

Perhaps if you left these forums altogether, and let those that enjoy COD get on with it, you wouldn't be provoking people into hate. But clearly, you chose to provoke people by coming into a thread about mapping for COD, suggest UE3 even though it is completely off topic, and then dispargae the graphics in COD. From where I'm standing, you got exactly what you were looking for - a reaction!

I'm outta here too, as long as you are here.

Edited: Because of harshness
