Re: New PC Patch is out
I turned on that shader warming and it has made it alot smoother for me. Not much stuttering anymore at all. I have a Quad core btw.

Re: New PC Patch is out
I got two serious stutters mid-round in the seven or eight rounds I played tonight. Other than that, the game was smooth as silk. I also noticed that my FPS wasn't as variable as it usually is. At max settings, I stayed mostly above 94 all night.

Re: New PC Patch is out
My game plays "smooth" since the first patch ... with a quadcore
the problem is that I get fps lower than 60 .. and thats a huge problem if you are not a casual gamer that plays 5 hours a month ...
in that map with the street, you get 40, its extremely painful to play there ...
its just shameful that they did a game with poor graphics without any optimization for PC, actually, its a crime, but nobody is going to sue, there is no freaking regulation, they can do whatever they want, pay load of money to review websites and magazines ... who cares right
lets hope RO2 offers us a game where we can play 1 hours a day without getting annoyed

Re: New PC Patch is out
AMD quad-core cpu here, with an ATI HD 5770 and 4gb ram. I play at 1024x768 4xAA and 16xAF. I have shader warming, shadows, and bullet marks turned on. Textures are set to Extra. Vertical sync is off. In my ATI drivers I have AA and AF set to use application settings, with mip-mapping set to high quality. My average fps is about 120. In low action areas I hit up to 200+ fps. At these same settings before the patch I got about 100fps average. The only "hitch" I experienced was right after I joined up to a server and someone was kicked. It lasted for a split second. Not only is my game smooth, it is responsive. Thank you Treyarch for making my purchase worth-while after all.

Re: New PC Patch is out
made no difference to my experience, too little too late, seems like it doesnt matter either way, treyarchs awful QA and its lackluster patching are failing fast! Barely more people playing a month old game than than there is playing mw2, Black Ops is getting negative UK press even for their beloved console version (PS3) with BBC's watchdog television show taking interest. Shame , it could of been one of the better cod games but greed and ship now fix later (if fix at all) attitude won yet again.

Re: New PC Patch is out
I have locked mine at 63fps, so I'll have to open it up and see what changes - if any - it has given me. I'm curious about the admin side of the patch, i.e. the rcon. He states: Quote: * Added all white-listed dvars for Ranked and Unranked. Admins have rcon access to ALL available dvars. Do we know which these are yet? /edit/ Still no signs of server admins being able to at least decide how many TK's = kick. If we are not to be allowed to turn it off, at least let us decide how many it should take. Far to often TK's happen because someone runs in front of you. You lose points and get kicked whilst the newlyspawned, yet-to-orient-himself-running-blind player only has to respawn w/out any penalties.
