RO:HoS to be shown privately on GDC
@MarkRein Red Orchhestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad (#ROHOS) looks great on UE 3! We'll be showing it behind closed doors at #GDC http://twitter.com/#!/TripwireYoshiro/s ... 0631747584

At some point, they are going to start loosing people that are semi-interested with this game if they don't get the closed beta released and a release date for the game. How far off can they be on developing this game if every time we turn around someone else gets to play it or review it? This is starting to become nonsense. How unfinished did the game look Ivbleed?

Re: RO:HoS to be shown privately on GDC
The group I was with totaled 4 including myself. Before it was only Evan Lahti from PC Gamer and he was the first to play the game. So that is Twice the game has been playtested in a 3 month period.
How long the game has been on the radar screen? The site forums section of ROHOS starts at 5/2009 in the general section. I think the marketing goes back to 8 or 9 mos. Thats the earliest Youtube that I could find. So if the development started officially in 5 /2009 then it is approaching 3 years.
It seems that on average today's games develop for 2 to 3 years.
The studio is at about 30 people and change.
So for those that are tracking this game these seem to be the numbers.

So for those that are tracking this game these seem to be the numbers. And to add to this compare the info out for RO:HoS and for, for instance, BF3. BF3 we know 3 things, no commander, no modtools and 64 players. For RO:HoS there's dozens and dozens of stuff. Yet some people will claim that RO:HoS has no info and those same people who complain about the lack of dates for RO:HoS should be more concerned about the fading hype and the lack of any date whatsoever for BF3 instead of trolling every game they feel fear of. Having double-standards when it comes to the games they cheerlead for and then to games that are really good like this makes those people real hypocrites and trolls.

It seems that on average today's games develop for 2 to 3 years. Yes I would agree. 3 Years does seem to be the window. Hopefully we get a date for beta/game release soon then. I am not the one that just got caught trying to post old news as "New footage from PAX"... You have misquoted BF3 info yet again to try and make some point. Please stick to the facts.

Love your hypocrisy. New footage from PAX but since PAX is old and the footage is new I see no contradiction here. What I see is a little troll trying to make up stuff where it doesn't exist. BTW, haven't misquoted BF3, no commander and no modtools are indeed confirmed, and don't even try to make the excuse that a commander role is still in there, a modified and toned down commander is not a commander at all. We all know that your precious little game will be the best advertisement for people to buy HoS, so go back to being the little mindless fanboi you are. Oh, when is BF3 coming out? Oh wait. You sad little thing.
