 BF3 GDC Info Drop
Update with some new info, according to an IGN article Some key points: - Dragging bodies will not be included in multiplayer
- Singleplayer will not stay with the same characters over the course of the entire story
- The campaign is likened to a tutorial for online play (don't know if that's good or bad)
- Different firing modes for guns (ex. M16 can switch between semi-auto, burst, and full-auto)
- "Every encounter has a finite amount of hostiles that react dynamically to the demands of battle." No CoD infinite enemy generators
- DICE isn't sure what kind of health system they're using yet, but they say "We know there are pros and cons. We want to make sure that when we talk about that, we take it seriously."

 Re: BF3 GDC Info Drop
The hole "tutorial" thing I think just means it will be similar to the BC2 SP. So you basically go through the entire SP and you get a change to use all the guns/attachements that will be seen in the MP. Not a big deal. Some of the other features you mentioned there again make me think the SP will be similar to BC2. Not a bad thing. I thought the SP in BC2 was decent. Not mind blowing or anything, just decent.
One thing that will be different that I'm bit bummed about is the lack of humor. I really liked the humor of the characters in BC2. It just made me feel like the characters had some real life to them. What was funny too was if you just stop at a point where you're supposed to move on, they would just keep bantering back and forth. Some of the stuff they said was pretty funny.

 Re: BF3 GDC Info Drop
I like to play competitive games, probably I am not going to play bf3 ... they probably will worry too much about realism and not about actual gameplay

The attention to detail is what made the gameplay good. If you're looking for a real competitive game, CoD is not the series for that unless you're playing COD4.
