The game forces tactical decision making, something pretty rare in other titles

I'm starting to understand why they're limiting this to 16 players. Any more would probably constrain the number of objectives available to the individual player. The team play aspect would be diluted, and the game would slide towards a team deathmatch scenario as the player count climbed.

While I am hungry for something new this is starting to seem like more of a niche game to me the more I see it.
Pure shooter fans will avoid it because it is so objective oriented and will feel a bit like an RTS.
We have seen what low sales numbers do to dedicated server count in a game like Homefront.
The first bump in the road and people abandon it .
I don't see this game selling more than 1.5 million copies after some time.
Although $50 is not $60 it is still a lot of money.

I hope I am wrong but the sluggish looking ADS and gameplay that revolves around combat turns me off.
I like the cooperative aspect to it but it looks like info overload for me.
I want less on the screen.
TF2 players may like it.

Agreed Bleed.
This game looks like a Mix of Cod Plus tf2. While I love Tf2. it is a completely different style and the 2 styles merged just doesn't sound like fun. Its like Battlefield in even smaller maps than Bc2 and those were too small. Now I love the mobility, but I feel its a little too niche for me.
My buddies at school are currently working on a FPS (similar to brink in the mobility aspect but different in the gameplay) in UDK for our senior project. As we get more done, I'll post pics and gameplay videos.

Yeah, I personally freaking hate complex objective gameplay. I just want to shoot people in the face! Gimme some deathmatch any day over objectives. Brink seems to be a game that screams for simple "shoot your buddies in the face" gameplay. Why make it more complex than that? The unique freedom of movement would be all you need to accomplish the fun factor.

Bleed you make some good points. This game obviously isn't just a shoot em up game, and that's exactly what it wants to be. I am not going to try to convince you if games like TF2 aren't your thing.

As for the sluggish looking controls, I can only attribute that to the fact that all these games are of console players. As of now I can only imagine what type of wicked moves a professional 'scout' player can pull off.

Last thing to remember is that these are the guys who made Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and for me, that's a very large reason I am looking forward to this game as opposed to an odd-ball shooter like Homefront.

Personally I'm a bit tired of games like cod now, probably because I have played such fps games a ton the last years, so I'm looking forward to the more tactical and team-oriented ro2 and bf3 (hopefully).

don't think this is gonna be a game for me, but I will wait and see the reviews.
