 Re: New Video
Never have I seen so much apathy from the PC crowd for a brand new CoD trailer, I remember when we all listened in to a live Bash Cast when there was a new CoD reveal, long gone are those days Its gonna take some serious ass kissing form IW to convince the majority of the PC community that they can deliver this game to us the way we want it, but Im certain the bridges have been burnt for too many players because of the way we have all been treated as second class gamers when it comes to the CoD franchise and far too many people have moved on (or are waiting on BF3), Infinity Wards IWNet was a mess for MW2 and now Treyarch's inability to give us a open, honest and direct answer as far as mod tools are concerned, but I dont blame anyone for abandoning the CoD franchise, I mean, who wants to play the same game for 5 years in a row? But to be honest, if IW offered the MW3 multi player maps to me as a expansion pack for MW2 along with dedicated servers I would be excited, but right now, all I can see is a few months of pub games at the most with this game, because the longevity mod tools offered us has been taken away from us all and because of that, CoD has become a shadow of its former self as far as the PC version goes, shame

 Re: New Video
The sad part is that the regular Crosshairs voices will have to buy the game just to give an honest opinion on the game. And it sucks because I can almost guarantee that most of their $60 is going to end up going to waste. It is simple extrapolation. MW2 was a waste. BO slowly became a waste. I expect no different from this game. And why should we after the way we've been treated?

 Re: New Video
So they're still using the same old engine with horrible textures/explosions.

YUP. but we knew that. it looks like they're adding more scripted destruction to SP though! lol I think they are actually thinking that's what the destruction thing is all about. Take a look at how blank that water looks, and railings, and the details on things like cars, and every rope and...and...and...and other item that still looks like tired DX9-sauce. At first glance you think "wow it looks like they actually worked on their engine...oh...no..they just added more garbage to the streets and more obstacles in your path to fill up the ground that make it look more detailed" but it's not. Personally, i think games should have had tessellation 2 years ago...but we were stuck in the console wave for too long. At least some games (BF3) have finally admitted that there are new things to do graphically and in gameplay. This trailer looks about as good as the ones for MW2 did...which I remember being excited for, then was hugely disappointed, like so many others. I'm not ordering this game. I ordered MW2 a week after launch because my whole clan seemed to be playing it...then that fizzled out in a few weeks and i was left with an unsatisfying piece of console garbage that I haven't played since the BFBC2 beta came along. It makes me sad to think about, but I think I'm sick of CoD...I'm bored with it and every word 402 or JD puts out makes me want to strangle something. gah.../end rant

 Re: New Video
For Example, here's a screenshot i took while watching the 720p trailer: look at the "water" and how flat it is (DX9-sauce)...it looks just like the snow or ice in that engine, check out the oil-painting-looking-sky. It doesn't even come close to this, even in lighting, let alone textures...and this was cap'd months ago...there's been more work on it since then. It looks better even with the motion blur effecting the screenshot lol I'm sure there are much better comparisons out there, but I was in a hurry

 Re: New Video
well, its developed mainly for consoles and consoles and there it runs fluently and people love it, so why change.
blank pc gamers and their demands on up to date graphics and gameplay.
but to be honest if you are or were excited for the mw2 or mw3 singleplayer, there is no hope for you. its script and ULTRA predictable story line and gameplay are an insult to every halfway intellectual being... but hey, if you loooved transformers, it might be the right thing for your small mind.
