 Re: Homefront 2 ?
This is ridiculous. I hate how often this seems to be occurring all over the world, not just in gaming. The wallet-bosses make impossible demands and even though their workers bust their asses to do an awesome job and do something creative and different, they still didn't make that impossible goal so they get canned.
Total crap.
Good luck KAOS...and thank you for trying to do something a bit different from the "status quo" and giving us a different option in FPS.

 Re: Homefront 2 ?
I'm just saying it was a step away from mainstream, and if they made a sequel that maybe took some bigger steps in it's own direction it had potential to start a great franchise, but firing a whole dev team because their first crack at it didn't dominate the FPS world is BS...that's all my point was.
It is guaranteed that there were people at KAOS that worked their rears off for that game with no thanks and a kick out the door. That, I am not a fan of.

Wasn't this game supposed to have private customize-able dedicated servers (was cod5 the last one with this?, DX11 (cod doesn't have that), in-game item purchasing system (that's different than the big ones), day 2 support, and an innovative multiplayer rewards system (while not groundbreaking or anything, it was its own thing)? the Server stuff wasn't a new thing, an old thing rather, but a step back towards what we've been begging for since MW2 and the rest of them following in removal of private dedi's. I'm not sure on a couple of those things, since I've been too busy to buy any games lately and I'm saving my time and money till BF3 comes out. The only bits i know from this game are what I've read from clan-mates that seemed to enjoy the game. With the exception of a few well-documented shortcomings it was stated to be a pretty good game.

But yes, I agree, it wasn't really fair to KAOS, as the things that blank up Homefront IMO are very likely to be decisions of THQ. the game is different in many ways ,accesible to cod players but larger maps, vehicles and drones. The game was also ballanced very quicly in rapid patches and anti cheat was implemented in many ways ,unique compare to a lot of games relying just on vac.The dedicated servers have many options including higher recoil, damage no vehicles and more.In a way this game reminded me more of delta force than cod or battlefield with better hit detection than all 3 and better use of cover to avoid snipers.(after the snipers were ballanced,so you were'nt avoiding 30) what was wrong with the game ? graphically they could have done better with the ue3 engine, and the launch was rushed like blackops therefore sniper and cheaterfest and lack of servers.
