 BF3 no steam?
heard a rumour that BF3 is not going to be released on steam and will be for EAs Origin service. Anyone know anything about this?
Personally i do not want another digital shop to have another friends list / games list to deal with or have to setup/remember another account with another password.

It's the way of the world - we're going social.
Just wish they'd not be called my "friends". I don't have 3576 friends but rather some cool people I've met whilst gaming and joined some groups. Friends are people you know...you know?

 Re: BF3 no steam?
I prefer my games on Steam and am not thrilled about Origin, but I also know nothing about it. I'll hold my judgement until I know more about the service, I've read that its similar to Impluse where you really only need to run the program once to download the installer and never need to run it again. If that is the case its a minor discomfort but really not that big of a deal to me.

I also heard that EA was pulling all their games off of steam and going with Origin. I would prefer NOT to use steam anyways. But I don't know how well Origin is going to work yet, could be better or worse than steam. Have to wait and see on that.

 Re: BF3 no steam?
EA's marketing department working overtime to make me not want to buy their games. Really wish it was possible for DICE to self publish because all my problems so far with DICE games aren't even decisions that the developer made but come from EA.

EA didn't pull Crysis 2 from steamPleas Read this http://www.bluesnews.com/s/122753/ea-di ... from-steamI don't think Steam will have BF3 on there Service. It breaks the business terms of Steam.

 Re: BF3 no steam?
I get my games from Gamersgate if I can. Anyway, the more platforms a game is available on, the better it sells. Restricting the game to a single platform will make them lose sales.

 Re: BF3 no steam?
That doesn't explain anything for those who already bought Crysis 2 on steam. Like if someone bought Crysis 2 on steam, would they still have access to play it via steam, or is the game removed from their list? If it's removed from their games list, do to the customers get a refund? I don't own it so I don't know how this works.
However it does open up some questions about BF3. If BF3 has been removed from steam for the same reason as Crysis 2, does that mean that EA has plans to include an in game store for selling DLC?
