Every since consoles took over, our hobby has been solely "about the money" there is no integrity left with consoles and big business in the market. Thats THE reason for the console market, I bet if you ask ANY CEO at any of the console publishers why they are in business, they will all answer to make money, not for the love of it or not to provide entertainment or enjoyment for others.

No one invests millions of dollars just for the love of something or to make others feel happy. This is a business like any other - there are people in it for the money and there are people who want to do what they love and live off of it. Making money is always important but when the product also comes from the heart - this is when really precious things come from.
It is a bit sad however, that this is becoming more and more a pure business where the people that care for their work have less of a say into how things are done.
On the other hand, they are losing sales on second hand copies that can play the multiplayer and other companies are winning millions because of this. I have no problem with them forcing people to pay more (ie. the same as game on release) if they want to play multiplayer. I certainly wish we had the option of selling our games...
