Post Fps issue.
Let me start of by taking a deep breath because this issue could not and has never been solved by even the brightest minds including myself and im pretty good with computers .

About 5 months ago , i went from a geforce 7800gt to a 9600gt , expecting a massive fps improvement on a game such as call of duty 2 , now lets face it call of duty 2's requirements are so low , and my computer is pretty good spec's are as followed:

2gb's of Ozc ram
100Gb Hd
500w Psu
Gigabyte gaming mobo
Geforce9600gt

Basic information to run on but you get the point , its a good enough computer to run 250 fps on low settings on call of duty 2 , but the fps goes from 250 down to 50 back up to 250 stops and goes back to 50 and that clearly will cause lag right? My max fps is set at 250 .

Ive checked all the temps and everything is fine , no issues there. My psu 12v rail is fine , ive even made my own tweaking cfg for the game , but it still doesn't want to know , updating drivers is a mistake , cause's all sorts of issues my monitor starts buzzing D:

Question at hand is :

How do i stabilize my fps?

Sorry for the grammar mistakes .

Please note ive done everything single basic thing humanly possible!

Patched
Drivers
De-frag
Virus scans
Under clocked
Turned GPU fan speed up
Checked Temps
Made sure it wasn't factory overclocked
Played with so many different configs you wouldn't even believe me if i told you how many!
Formatted
Tried Custom Drivers
Played around with nivdias control panel *advance*
Turned on triple buffering
Turned down all my graphics
Turned up all my graphics

Specs :

2gb's of Ozc ram
100Gb Hd
500w Psu
Gigabyte gaming mobo
Geforce9600gt

No one wants to help me! Ive had a few friends from codboards on the issue , and at some point i noticed a improvement in my fps , but it still wasn't stable!

Im also adding some picture for my lagometer to the post .

I wish you all the luck in the freaking world to help me solve this issue , if you want to help me one on one , feel free to personal message me on here and i will give you my xfire or msn details! :o

Woop, sorry dude, doing my homework and alt tabbing to Firefox. Well you're computer should def run the game at 250, does it drop to 50 everytime? Exactly 50?

ahh its ok man , ;)

Well its not 50 fps all the time , it can go down to 25 , it never ever goes down to a single digit number , ever!

It differs on what im doing .

Shoot = 250-125-50-25

Jump= 250-125-90

Confrontation with a enemy - 250-125-50-25 major lag

Sorry for the late reply , been doing maintenance on here.

Post NEED SUPPORT !
Ok , since this issue is so big , i posted on NVIDIA forums , and some naab is trying to blag me off with the whole eye cant see past 60 fps , i know its true , but it doesn't change the fact i expect performance from a high range card! It also doesn't changed the fact , 125 fps is better than 60 fps , please sign up and help me argue this !

Read my argument here:

Yes the eye can only see 60 fps, but in CoD the more the frames the better. I will sign up.

hmm , i will do that later , let me explain why.

Every so often , while in game , or just doing general computing my screen will turn itself off .....

Now i know what your thinking , just turn it back on right?

Nope , my GPU *9600gt* fan stop spinning .... so i took it out for a hour , and cleaned it , nothing to big of a clean , just a spot of dust here and there , after around 10 around 20 try's of inserting it back in , did the fan power up on it , this hasn't happened in weeks now , but when it does happen , you can imagine how frustrating it is

So im worried , if i remove it , its going to take the same amount of try's , which takes around 2 hours ....

The 7800gt , did the same thing anyway , and on 2 different psu's ...

I tell you what i can try and do for you , i will buy a decent webcam , and upload a video of the issue and show you my hardware in full detail.

I can do that next week.
