Post WaW lagging - Please help
Hello

Like many others i've been having a lot of problems with the game, both Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

I own the full version and have patch 1.1 installed. Others have problems just getting into the game, thats no problem for me. The real problem is the lag in the game.

Pictures showing my system info. I took the tests at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Every time i enter Singleplayer it lags like hell. My FPS is so low, i can't even play the game. When i look up into the sky away from battle, everything is smooth, and i have great FPS. Sometimes it goes faster than normal, when i look up. Quite strange. In Multiplayer it's the same deal. The game is lagging so much, I can't even see the opponents.

I tried lowering the graphics, turned everything off, and resolution at 800x600. That didn't help at all. I tried to use Yitch's config files. Even though the game still lags, and my FPS i like 5 or less. I don't know if i installed the config files correctly.

I have tried to update my driver for the Video Card, but that didn't help. I also installed DirectX 9.0c, but no luck. I'm so sad that i used my hard earned money, on something that is completely useless.

I have played COD4 for a long time now, every option maxed out, no problem at all. But now this. Do you think you can help me, i'm quite desperate.

Hope to hear from you very soon.

Sincerely
rQn

If you want to send me your config through pm, I'll be glad to take a look to see if i pick up on anything in there that you might be overlooking. We need to try and rule out your game or your system and go from there. looking at the config is the easiest place for us to start.
Could be something running in the background aswell. Maybe run the game, minimize it and open your task manager to see if any other processes are slowing you down.

I finally solved the problem.

After hours of searching i uncovered it. It was my Video card driver. I recently downloaded the newest driver, and this driver was the problem. Everytime my computer started i got bluescreen, and COD would not run properly. I uninstalled the driver and got the older version. Now everything works :D My computer doesn't go into Bluescreen, and my COD is running so smooth, you wouldn't even believe it.

Thanks so much guys, for all of your help. I'm just relieved I finally cracked the code :)

Sincerely
rQn

Glad to hear you finally tracked it down. This definitely will help if others come in having the same problem.
